It is a great place for a lunch or a dinner meal in the summer time. THe staff are friendly, and the gift shop has many unique items. A Nice spot to relax and enjoy a breather

What is there to say I go here every time I come home to visit family. Great treats and quality restaurant and fairly good coffee as well. Everything is good, it is your particular taste that will determine your favorite. Not too much has changed since the new owners have taken over except the gift shop,( less antiques more modern... I'm serious. The oat cakes here are AMAZING, or at least they were. I wait all year to come to Days Gone By, and when I did this year, I discovered they'd CHANGED the recipe. They were still good, but the old ones were much better. Everything else about this place is still the same, though, and wonderful.

We were visiting Mahone bay and walking along the streets to the shops and stopped in for tea and dessert! It was absolutely delicious! We sat outside and ate our dessert to a beautiful view! The sales lady was very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend this place!! Can't wait to go back next year!

Stopped for brunch, staff was friendly but the food was nothing to write home about. No major complaints but I wouldn't make a point of going back.

We stopped here last week on the way to Cape Breton. Attracted by the old-fashioned decor and promise of good home cooking, we were disappointed to find that the food was barely average - tons of tasteless, generic, deepfried 'homefries' did nothing to lift up this breakfast. Thank goodness we were famished or even more would have been left on... More

What a wonderful way to start the day with a great bowl of porridge covered in fresh blueberries. They have a bakery in the store and great many room to browse and shop for locally made items.

Every time we are in the area we stop in. I love the food we get each time. The seafood chowder is one of my favorite items! I also love that there is the option for browsing and shopping throughout your whole meal! I typically always find something lovely to buy! I'm always leaving with a gift and a tray... More

Not many options in Guysborough but our B&B recommended this pace as having the most varied menu...very glad we tried it. Our waitress was very friendly chatty...service as quick. Good range of items available....tried the hot turkey dinner and the hamburger patties...both were very good...large portions and well prepared. Gravy with the turkey was especially tasty. Dinner buns were a... More

We were absolutely starving when we arrived in Guysborough which looked quite a big place on the map. It isn't. At lunchtime on a Tuesday there appear to be only two places to eat. This bakery cum restaurant cum nic-nac store and a little (empty) pizzeria. The food was plentiful if fairly basic. We had chilli (with extra Saltines on... More
