Well, to elaborate on the title, my girlfriend and I went in today for the first time since the new ownership took over. We weren't 100% sure what to expect, but we ordered 2 soy lattes and they were very good. Before leaving, I wanted to check what kind of vegan options they had or intended to have on a... More

It is still a pleasant and comfortable place to go, but .... We have been going to the biscuit eater for at least four years. The atmosphere, at its best was informal, welcoming and importantly... inclusive. It seems increasingly to be operating on a business plan that requires higher and higher cover values. The option to spend a couple of... More

Had lunch here today with my wife. Everything we had was delicious and we left feeling quite full. The croissant sandwich was particularly good! Would definitely recommend.

Very clean and cozy atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. We had salads and coffee. A little hard to find cause it is off the Main Street but worth it.

A dear friend and I ventured to Mahone Bay to take in the Scarecrow Festival. We arrived around noon and wanted a nibble before walking around town. The Biscuit eater appeal as a quaint spot with a lovely garden and a small outside patio. It was a wonderful fall day and we sat outside to enjoy the last days of... More

A hidden little gem, off the beaten path a little so a little hard to find, The biscuits, coffee, lobster roll and smoked salmon sandwiches were excellent! Service with a smile. We spent a lively couple of hours just sitting under the gazebo

The Biscuit Eater is a friendly community cafe and bookstore serving homemade, handmade goodness in Mahone Bay's oldest building. Fresh baked buttermilk biscuits, locally roasted coffee, stacks of cookies and baked treats, delicious soups, sandwiches and daily specials are all made with care daily by new owners Jessika and Chris and our talented chef Laurie Zwicker. Take a seat by the hearth in a cozy chair, have lunch in the library, grab a snack to go, or visit with old and new friends in the common room - here the warmth of community is alive, well, and waiting to welcome you. We are accessible, family friendly, inclusive and open to all our neighbours from our oldest customer (98!) to biscuit babies. Our new winter hours are Monday - Saturday from 9-4, keep your eye on our Facebook page for evening events, markets, and workshops. We are also available to host your special events, weddings, and creative retreats, contact us with your ideas and collaborations!
