Came across this casual dining spot and it absolutely exceeded our expectations from the food to the service and view. One of our favorite meals on a 10-day trip to Nova Scotia! The Seafood Chowder tasted as amazing as the presentation... big pieces of fresh...seafood and potatoes in a flavorful creamy broth. Delicious! Our table also enjoyed the Lobster & Shrimp Mac, Fish & Chips, and the Brussel Sprout Tacos. Loved the Tacos, as well... great flavor and textures with the sprouts, avocado and pepitas along with a bit of zing from the jalapeños and a touch of acid from the pickled red onion. So tasty and balanced. I would go back weekly if I lived close by!More

We love OH MY COD! The food is excellent. The service is top notch. The view, sitting on the deck is beautiful. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

We had such a good experience last year, enjoying several meals at Oh My Cod that we were looking forward to our lunch when stopped in Mahone Bay to do some shoe shopping. We were in for a disappointment. Our fish was heavily battered compared...to the light batter of last year. There was very little if any chipotle sauce on the taco. The taco had some kick last year. We ordered one order of Cod and one order of Haddock, comments above apply to both. The service and atmosphere were great. Our hope is that this is a "one of" and that the next time we stop in Mahone Bay we will be pleasantly surprised.More

When in Mahone Bay or even as far away as Halifax take a trip to this restaurant. No reservations but the Seafood Chowder is to die for. Views of the water from the back deck.

A great little spot with an amazing water view. The clam chowder was a daily special and was outstanding. It was very creamy and yet light. The cod fish and chips were excellent as well. We were too full for ice cream but it was...tempting as they offered unique flavours. Service was excellent. Fast and friendly.More

I live in Mahone bay we frequent this restaurant every Friday, our fish Friday, I entered the restaurant to give my takeout order, but I was being ignored by their hostess who repeated looked at me. After being ignored in the lineup for over 30...minutes, I entered the restaurant and was reprimanded by the Pompos manger and accused of being disrespect to the staff. As a red seal master cook, i am never disrespectful to restaurant staff as I have sat at the other side of the coin. I came home cried being accrued of being disrespectful and the treatment I received by the aggressive manager. . When I picked up my order i gave the cook $10 cash tip for accommodating the order. As a side note there was multiples of empty tables inside the restaurant and keeping a long lineup. The manager is Incompetent. My son called in to talk to the manager over the poor treatment his mother. had received, by no call back.More

Delicious and excellent service! Fresh options and ample portions. The lobster on a croissant was amazing and the fish tacos incredible!

Good food and friendly service. Was empty when we arrived but full when we left. Owner personally stopped at each and every table while we were there to check in on customers. I had the fish tacos. Came with hand cut fries. The tacos were...so large I ended up taking one home. Very good. My hubby had the fish and chips and equally enjoyed his food.More

WOW. Our last night in Nova Scotia and we were referred to Oh My Cod, in Mahone Bay, by two different people. We were not disappointed! WE both had their Scallop Skewers and they were cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Scallops were served with fries...and we asked what type of potato was used...as they tasted great. Well, talking to the owner, he stated they were PEI potatoes that he prepares himself. My wife stated they were the best fries she has ever had and he explained his prep procedure ( which I shall keep his secret). We had a great talk with him and his staff and left with an ice cream cone for desert...yes they have an ice cream bar to enjoy.More

Seems like this place only draws a crowd due to their highly visible location in Mahone Bay. We were very disappointed with their lousy fish and chips and will not be going back or recommending it to friends or visitors. As residents of Lunenburg county...we're sad to think this restaurant represents Nova Scotian seafood. They could do so much better!More

Excellent food, beautiful scenery on Mahone Bay. All 4 people in our group absolutely loved our meals. The guys rated their Seafood chowder as the best of 4 places they tried in NS. My fish taco was tasty 😋 Salad was also a delicious, good...sized portionMore
