We had heard a lot of good things about BlackRock Bistro so we decided to give it a try while in Parrsboro for the day. They open at noon and we arrived before 12:30. There are a few outside tables for two, but it was...More

Out for dinner before taking in a play at the local theatre. Chef was very accommodating for vegetarians.... Both the Ceasar salad and the pasta were amazing! Great service, and the owner Dave came by to say hello and to check in, which was a...More

One of my favourite things to do (when not running for supplies or helping out with dish washing) is to chat with our guests to ensure they have a good experience at BlackRock Bistro. Thank you for comming in and glad you enjoyed your meal.

Had a very good meal last week with excellent service. Highly recommend it. No need to be redundant of other good reviews. Go!

Everything super fresh and delicious and great service. The chef really knows how to cook fish. Never over done, always perfect. Ate there twice in 2 days and all great.

We recently enjoyed an excellent lunch here. The service was fine and the food was very good and different from the usual. I really enjoyed my lobster panini. The panini was beautifully crisp and the Dutchman's farm cheese with the lobster was very good. This...More

After hearing so much about the BlackRock Bistro we were lucky to get a last minute reservation last night, a Saturday. However, after being shown to our table, not one person (there were 3 servers) even acknowledged our presence. We were not offered a drink,...More

Its unfortunate that you felt ignored by our staff. As you mentioned you were shown to your table and could plainly see that the restaurant was completely full. I saw you come in and noticed that you had not been served so was on my...More

Thank you for this review. Our staff enjoy serving our customers and talking with them about their travels in Nova Scotia. We feature locally produced foods where possible so your lobster came from the Bay of Fundy within site of Parrsboro and the Dutchman's Dragon's...More

Of the few restaurants in town, but it's probably the most upscale. Good menu and not too pricey. Food and service were excellent. Would eat here again. Located right in downtown and walkable from several B&B's in the area.

What a lovely dining experience. The scallops were delicious as was the wine. The owner stopped by our table and was helpful with a wine selection. There is a wonderful large painting of a dog that added to our delightful evening!

Thank you for stopping by for lunch at BlackRock Bistro. We serve locally raised products as much as possible and unfortunately deliveries are less frequent in a small town like Parrsboro so we do sometimes run out of menu items. We don't actually butter the...More
