The fish chowder is quite famous in Nova Scotia and beyond. My favorite meal is the steak. Excellent price and excellent steak.

The seafood chowder was fantastic. I ordered a bowl of it because that was to be my entire dinner - it was more than I could eat. My husband had the stir fry scallops and he said it was great.

Charlene's is a great family restaurant. But there is also a wonderful garden centre with unusually reasonable prices. Have a look if you're driving thru town

Charlene's was recommended by some family members who spend more time in Cape Breton than we do. After doing a hike just outside of Whycocomagh we stopped for a late lunch. My husband and brother-in-law both had the seafood chowder and claimed it was as...More
