Went for breakfast (line up) which is a good sign. Fantastic breakfast with friendly staff and down to Earth prices. Would highly recommend if visiting the Pickering Ajax area.

Ok breakfast

I guess if you are looking for home-cooked in Durham Region, not a whole lot besides regular chain restaurants to choose from. Lineup outside. No privacy for customers trying to eat in with 20 pairs of eyes staring at them and their food from the...outside, separated by only a glass window. Portion size and food: you can say the potato hash was plenty, so it will fill you up. Regular diner food, nothing really spectacular or outstanding. Service: What's up with the fake smiles and "hurry up and get the hell outta here" attitude? Good coffee though.More

Tasty food! Huge portions! Great service!

We were a group of seven, seated at Carrie's?/Kerry's? table. Her constant attentiveness to detail and our needs was impressive. She was so warm, humorous, and caring. The food was delicious; the portions ample; price was very reasonable.

Excellent small restaurant in South Ajax

Met my friends for brunch in this very small cafe restaurant on Westney road. It would be missed if it wasn’t for the line up outside. It’s very popular locally and the reason is the fantastic service. Smiling servers who apologized for the long wait....Great brunch and massive quantities. I have a club sandwich with the Caesar salad, my friends had the gigantic breakfast and the eggs Benedict. Everything was good and felt fresh. Great restaurant for brunch.More

Excellent breakfast with a smile

Angelique family restaurant. We had a great wrap with a soup this morning at a very reasonable price. Everything was good. They open early and we went at 7h00AM on a Saturday morning and the place is small when we left it was full.

Great food

I hadn’t been here in 2 years and staff remembered me and quickly came over to welcome us back. The food hasn’t changed and they still provide a huge hearty meal. My favourite is grilled cheese and bacon. Their fries are the best and the...sandwich was large with cheese oozing out. Their food is nicely presented.More

Excellent value on breakfast!

It's been a little while since I've been to Angelique's and I had forgotten how generously huge their platters are. I had ordered their Combination Breakfast which included three eggs, sausage, ham, bacon strips, and peameal bacon, with potatoes, baked beans, and two pancakes for...only $13.55! It was so much food, I could only eat half of it and just had the rest for lunch. Service is quick and friendly. Food is delicious!More

Brunch

Customer service is excellent. They now have a patio area outside. Great place for breakfast or lunch. Quality of food is excellent. Portions are large. I consider this the best breakfast/brunch restaurant in Durham.

Very friendly and attentive staff, good food and good price.

Greeted by nice and friendly owner, staff was helpful and attentive. The food was well prepared, portions were excellent (possibly too much) and the atmosphere of friendliness was infectious. One of our party is 96 years old and she was very impressed.

Pleasantly surprised

It had been about 5 years since I had eaten here. The wait staff recognized us and came over with hugs and to chat. We had our favourite grilled cheese and bacon with fries. I’d forgotten how good their fries were and lots of bacon...in the sandwich. We will go back.More

Neighbourhood joint

This is a very friendly local restaurant where most of the diners and the staff seem to know each other. The lunchtime menu is extensive and the portions are large. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Washrooms are well kept. The cooking tends...towards the greasy spoon style and our clothes reeked for hours after leaving the premises.More

Good Breakfast

Very nice. Lots off food and very fresh, very reasonably priced. Had the breakfast special: Three slices pea meal bacon, three eggs, home fries (can get fried or grilled), toast and beans. Large portions, you don't need anything to eat until dinner. Friendly staff, quick,...but can be hard to get a seat, especially with larger groups, as this place is very busy and popular.More

Friendly Staff/ Great Breakfast

Live in Cobourg but every time we visit Ajax we always stop in for breakfast. Staff very friendly and if you are hungry order the breakfast it will fill you up.
