Exceptional service and excellent food!

We called ahead for a table as requested. Was glad to provide our vac certs and id. We received a warm welcome and service with a smile. Our server very patiently described some of the dishes to us that we were unsure of. We had the lunch special with chicken and veggie dishes and it was all so very delicious! Portions were quite ample…had enough to take leftovers home and enjoy again. Great value for reasonable pricing. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and very clean. All around great lunch experience that was worth the hour drive to get there!! We’ll be back!

Awesome Indian food in Ancaster

A great place to try Indian food if it is your first time or not. Very flavourful and tasty choices from curry dishes, tandoori and many vegetarian options, plus delicious naan. They even offer Monday evening cooking classes!

The place to eat Indian food

I'm not normally a person to eat Indian food and I'm a restrictive eater. However I managed to find lots of delicious food. The only negative I would say is that it took a long time to order and then get served. I understand it is COVID time and difficult to get workers. It would be good to let patrons know that it would be a while to get food. We were there for 2 1/2 hours total!

Stopped here on our drive from Boston to Detroit. The hostess and waitress were extremely polite, the environment is clean, well lit & well decorated. When you order, she actually asked if there were any food allergies that she should let the kitchen know about, which was awesome, because I've never seen that in any Indian Restaurant that I've been to. The food was very average though, the Butter Chicken, Lamb dish were okay definitely not the best Indian fare. The first order of naans were fine, then we ordered 2 more, and they were raw inside. The owner took them off of our bill, which was nice. But the fact still remains that they were raw. I ordered the masala chai, which was basically warm milk :(

Best Indian food anywhere

My wife and I dine here very often and have never disppaointed. Food is amazing, can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Always fresh. Service is exceptional. the decor is truely Indian and very very clean. Atomosphere is very authentic Indian.We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. We truely love it. Thank you.

Best Indian Restaurant anywhere

I have been to many Indian restaurants in my time, all over the world, especially in the UK, and this India restaurant, is by far the best I have every been to. The service is excellent, and the food is beyond excellent, I have tried almost every dish on there Menu, and every one of them is superb. Thanks India Village...awesome

Amazing family meal

This is the best Indian restaurant bar none. We ordered takeout for a family gathering of 20 and the food was hot and delicious. They even helped us take all the food out to the car! We have found India Village to be constantly amazing every time we have ordered. Highly recommend them for your family get togethers! Thank you Nick and Jackie and the entire India Village team.

Rude and disrespectful server’s, will not return

This was our second time visiting Indian Village, the first time was excellent but last night was a huge disappointment. Our servers made us feel like we were nothing short of a nuisance and bother. The food was great but when you have such rude server's the quality of food is secondary. Not sure we will return as it was that bad.

All in all a very pleasant experience.

The food is pretty good. The portions are generous and the restaurant is very clean with friendly, courteous service. My companion and I both thought that the samosas came from a commercial outfit, outside of the restaurant however, they were properly cooked and came with a side of tamarind and chick pea. Chicken was very nicely cooked however could have used a bit more flavor. We ordered mild and would order medium spice next time.

Nice Indian restaurant in Ancaster. Large selection of delicious food

Fantastic Indian dinner. Complimentary papadam was served upon arrival. We had butter chicken and vandaloo lamb, and garlic naan bread . All delicious. It was our first time, but definitely not the last

Best Indian Food Ever!!!

I can’t praise this restaurant enough! Food is absolutely delicious! I have tried many dishes and have not had one that I did not enjoy. The spices are so intoxicating. We enjoyed it so much we had take out the following week. The restaurant it’s self is lovely. The service is wonderful! I must mention it is super clean! Not one complaint here!!! My favourite restaurant by far!!!

I give India Village Restaurant a 5 out of 5 rating. I have been a customer of this wonderful establishment for a few years now…. It is always clean as a whistle and the food is so deliciously prepared, with no disappointments here…. We are so fortunate to have India Village Restaurant in the Hamilton area…. Keep up the great job at India Village Restaurant!

Usually like this place but really disappointed

I wish I could give India vlage a good review but after being td to go away until 730 because they were full....the to come back and see the same tables empty that were empty 45 minutes earlier was discouraging. Then we ordered and waited over an hour with no food being served. We ended up leaving with no food and hungry.

A superb spot - for lunch or dinner!

There's a reason they are #1! We've now been to "India Village" (Ancaster) three times (with three different couples - over the past several weeks). We have all agreed - the food has been phenomenal every time - no matter what we've ordered! Everything is flavorful and perfectly prepared; one can designate mild, medium or spicy for one's meal. Our first two times were for dinner. Today, we visited in the afternoon and had their lunch "platter". The platter came complete with: an appetizer, your choice of two "main" items accompanied by tasty rice and a small salad and which was finished off with a tiny, sweet treat (dessert). As usual - everything was delicious and filling! We have always had leftovers to bring home. [Hint: Do yourself a favour - try the bhatura (bread) - it's out of this world!] We highly recommend this restaurant! With its friendly staff, outstanding food (on an extensive menu), and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, one simply cannot go wrong! Kudos to "India Village" (Ancaster)!
