Since this place opened, we have been going there regularly. We did enjoy the sashimi boat and their rolls. We enjoyed ramen as well. Price is not cheap but quality was there so we spent anywhere from $80 to $200 for food and drinks. Last...couple of time we were there, the sashmi was not that fresh and they put belly part for Salmon Sashimi for the boat which we ordered for somewhere around $80. We told the waitress that we don't want belly fat for salmon and she did not do anything about it. She said this is how it is!! We are not going back anymore. The place is immaculately clean, well decorated and the menu selection is huge! Tonkatsu ramen and sushi with California rolls with gross and edamame to start we're our choices and did not disappoint!

Me and my family love Japanese food. We discovered Izumi restaurant in April and since then we have lunch at least once a week. The food is delicious (and we tried everything), and the price is decent. The baked oyster and grilled squid are my...favourites, but their sushi is amazing too. I was very excited to try their ramen noodle soup since I have not seen it in any aurora / Newmarket Japanese restaurant. So I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen. It was very delicious and authentic! I just think that the portion was a bit small.... we...also had some signature rolls, very nicely presented and tasty. My boys also really enjoyed their Takoyaki appetizer as well. I had heard good things about this place and it was incredible.It is a real Japanese restaurant, so while the sushi was MMM, mmm! the charred duck breast and Tornado tuna rolls were unreal. So much fish in a roll. It was not inexpensive but...felt we got more than we paid for. Much more "special", and better quality than any all-you-can-eat. . There was a lot of effort put into the renovation which was nice. One thing to note is the emergency button near the toilet. It's good that they pay such attention to detail in the design. As for the food, we originally did not expect...it to be authentic as it is operated by non-Japanese; however, it came out pretty decent. We ordered BBQ eel, avocado shrimp roll and a ramen and they all tasted reasonably fresh. The price was reasonable. I hope they can keep up with it.More
