I could not have been happier with our last minute meal plans for Valentines day. Bayfield has no shortage of good eats, but I know we wouldn't have seen anything on any other restaurant menu that could have been more satisfying than the meal we had tonight at the Albion. We both ordered from the specials. My boyfriend had a savoury and herby caprese chicken with the choice of 2/4 sides. The number of options really catered each meal to the preferences of each customer. The chicken was juicy, and the portions were perfect. It was a really great hearty, healthy, colorful and comforting meal. I had the 'Hipster Bowl'. It was EXACTLY what I wanted - Tonnes of perfectly cooked, colorful veggies, a tastey dressing, a bit of crunch, and fresh sprouts. So good. The service was spot on. Quick, friendly, and accommodating as always. The meal checked all the right boxes, and exceeded expectations :)

So there are a couple of go to items I tend to order at restaurants - club sandwiches and beef dip sandwiches are two of em. Some places do an okay beef dip sandwich, others do a pretty good beef dip sandwich. But man oh man! The beef dip sandwich at the Albion is a cut above all others. So so so so soooooo good. It is rich and flavorful and the beef isnt in the least bit dry. The bun is perfect for soaking up the au jus, and I dont know what they do to season it all but it is spot on. So savoury and yummy. Highly recommend!! We'll def be back for more!!

Wanted to give a shout out to Leigh who helped us get a table for lunch during a very busy time. We had never been to Bayfield before and this was one of the few restaurants open on a Tuesday so they were very busy. Our waitress Jill was very attentive and our lunch was fabulous. Had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Delicious. We liked it so much we went back for dinner. Our waiter Jake was great!! Could not have experienced a more enjoyable meal for both lunch and dinner. Great staff and great food. Try the fish and chips. So good!!

We went twice in 8 days. The first time the liver meal and chicken strips were good, the burgers terrible. As we are purchasing a cottage thought we’d try it again, wings are good, chicken fingers still good, fries were burnt tonight, the chicken club sandwich- asked for crispy bacon- it came out barely cooked, they took it back and it was a bit better, however the chicken doesn’t seem to be real chicken perhaps it’s that pink stuff?we got two of them and they were terrible, rubbery the consistency of raw chicken no flavour nor did it come apart like chicken. I asked for my water to be refilled and was ignored. Maybe just a bunch of new workers and need to get in the swing of things.
I got sick 70 minutes after eating- only had two bites of the chicken then took all the “chicken” out. There was a chemical after taste until I got sick.

We live near Bayfield and have always enjoyed the fish and chips here
Unfortunately when we tried to order today Nov 12 our favourite we were advised no extra fish anymore and we could not split meals anymore.
We are seniors and find it difficult to eat a whole meal. We asked if that included the Reuben sandwich and she said yes. No splitting meals and no extra plate
Unfortunate,or fortunate for us, we left. Very unhappy
We went next door to the BLACK DOG and what a wonderful split,2 piece , fish and chips. Great service. Now that will be our go to place

We only do not allow splitting of fish on our two for the price of one fish night special. We always allow splitting of anything else. Perhaps it was a new server who didn’t understand our rules. I will be sure to look into this and ensure it is not repeated. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and my apologies for the inconvenience.

We've been heading to Bayfield for years on our regular motorcycle trip and discovered a little gem called the Albion Hotel . We've stayed at the hotel 3 times and each has been better than the last . The rooms are perfect and very clean !!!. The food is incredible - perch & chips, wings, burgers, salads its all great. The back patio area is stunning. Staff is super friendly too. We had a little problem with our room and the staff bent over backwards to make it right, something you wouldn't get at the big places. Since Leigh and Jeff have assumed ownership its only gotten better and better. Our friends love going with us too. Its a must stay

I have never had a bad meal here except for this night. We had the fish and chips. The fish was awful. It was greasy and tasted like nothing. I could barely get it down. I put lemon, then vinegar, then salt, then ketchup, anything to make it taste but nothing helped. We took the extra piece home which I threw away. I also ordered gravy for the fries but it didn't taste like anything either. We were truly disappointed.
I will go back but will NOT order the fish.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting Bayfield and enjoyed the best quesadillas I’ve ever had. Filling was made to order and the outside was perfectly crisp. Cheese on the inside and on top. Server was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Thank you!

Great time with family and friends in the beautiful new back patio. The southern bbq platters were delicious. The brisket and smoked turkey could not have been better. Nice to have the choices for sides. Could do with a few more vegetarian friendly items, but otherwise an absolutely perfect meal. Beer was cold, food was great, and staff were very accommodating!

First time trying The Albion! The food was amazing. Really loved everything. Great flavour. We had the calamari it was delicious and the wings were top notch! Large in size and the batter on the wings is bomb! The brisket sandwich and fries did not disappoint! Would highly recommend. :) enjoyed everything

Pure Canadian setting in the little hallmark town of Bayfield. Went for Christmas lighting and dinner following. Serving hot chocolate on the veranda with a lil something for adults. Lol. Donations only. Grinch entertained. All part of the experience. Food was really good. Atmosphere loud on a Friday night but totally a Canadian documenting experience.

Way to crowded for the size of the room. The food was just average, nothing special; however even tho very busy the service was quick and efficient.
It was so loud you could barely hear the person opposite you talking.

Ate on the new front patio, good pub fare, lovely large front patio out into the main Street. Lots of social distance between tables. After dinner had drinks on the new back patio, a great spot to have a few sips totally updated and modern. Would recommend and will be back👍🍻

One of the many good choices in Bayfield for some eats.
One of the better menus in town as well.
Usually a bit of a wait but worth it. Also worth poking around inside for a look at this historic pub.

Stayed over night with my bridesmaids the night before our wedding. We used all 4 rooms and the great room. We spent the whole day getting ready and taking pictures up there. The pictures turned out amazing because it is so beautiful. Then we stayed in room 1 for our first night as bride and groom. Jeff and Leigh were so good to us and we had complimentary champagne to top it off. We could not be happier with our experience!
