Amazing experience for our daughter’s and her fiancé’s engagement party. The food was delicious, the customer service and attention to detail was 5 star. Everyone was served at the same time. Perfection. Elegance. Will definitely be back! With much appreciation to a wonderful team!

It was very impressive to find quite unique true fine dining restaurants in the heart of King city! Very classy restaurant with warm, friendly and yet highly professional service from Sebastian and others! As well as an outstanding and delicious gourmet meal from the chef...! Highly recommend! Much, much higher level from the last time I 've been there years ago!More

Thank you for a perfect evening, Our dear friend Susan's birthday dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere that only Hogans can provide timeless elegance. I had the Salmon it was cooked to perfection, my husband had a steak that was the best he's ever had! Susan...and Jim had several appetizers and then a pasta that was delicious. Coffee's and a piece of cheesecake for the birthday girl. Great singing John ! Our servers John, Sebastian and Anna really know how to spoil us. Thanks again Hogans, we'll be back soon!More

Dreadful service, this was a Birthday only 4 people. The asparagus was thick, old tough and inedible. Had to yell down the length of the Restaurant in order to get attention as there was no waiter or waitress in sight. No one checked on us....I have worked in catering on a first class passenger cruise ship and we would never have gotten away with this type of service and the prices they charge you would expect much better.More

Came for an early dinner as we were out for a drive. No reservation, and it was on Mother's Day. As we were willing to sit out on the front patio (and it was sunny but a little chilly when the wind blew), they were...able to seat us right away. The patio was nicely decorated and white linens. Soon after we were seated, Aiden was nice enough to come out and bring a blanket (that he went searching for), so that my wife (the Mother of the group) would have an extra layer of warmth. Nico was our waiter and made sure that we had whatever was needed. The mains were excellently prepared and plated and all came out hot. There was very little waiting time. The seabass and salmon dishes were very tender. The steak came out med rare as ordered, and the chicken was moist. The desserts were all made in house and they were very light and again well plated. We had never been here before, but you can bet it is on our list to re-visit when we are in the area!More

Two of us visited in August between 4-6 no reservations, plenty of seats, nice heritage building, two patios, super location, roomy interior, bright. Now what’s no good: flies buzzing on the windows, too much artificial decorations like graveyard, escargot burnt garlic, house signature burger is...dry, not hot off the grill, served just tepid, cold fries, grocery buns. What’s good is the waitress is beyond any reproach, served Cliequot properly with lots of ice in the bucket, prompt and just right. Knows what’s she doing. Espresso is good and hot. Disaster escargot, tepid burger, tacky decorations, buzzing flies. We tipped well respect to the waitress! Not first time, live in the hood, but three strikes we out!!More

Great experience. I took my family for a special dinner. Hogans did not dissapoint as usual. Our server was so knowledgeable my daughter had questions and he was very patient. Sebastian knew which meals were gluten free. He was so friendly. Not many places are...this on top of celiac restrictions. Michael was at the door very friendly also. Our meals and dessert were perfect.More

I was impressed with my first visit to Hogans. So much so, that I went again a few days later after my inaugural visit. Walking in, you stand in the entrance corridor with stairs in front, the lounge to the left and dining room to...the right. You are not sure where to go as there is no greeter so you have to sort of wait to be seen. On neither of my two visits last week, did Covid screening or requests for passports occur. Staff wore masks but sometimes their noses were exposed. It was evident that adhering to protocols was not a priority. Decor was quaint and in line with the historical building, but disjointed by the two very different main dining areas. Food on the other hand was the highlight. Fresh, nicely plated, ample sized portions and reasonable value for the money. Service was good and personable. I would likely return, although it said a lot about safety and enhanced cleanliness when Covid protocols are not followed by the restaurant.More

The food is good, service is ok, but they don’t check your QR code. They’re also not very strict about masks - saw a manager pulling a mask on coming out of the kitchen. So if you like living on the edge, this is your...place!More

Set in a beautiful historical building, this upscale restaurant offers good food, however the service lacks in comparison. The waiter came to our table 4 times to see if we were ready to order, yet he neglected to inform us of the day's specials. The...grilled octopus appetizer was well prepared but lacked a little in flavour. The Fetuccele Frutti Di Mare was lovely and flavourful. The burger was very tasty, however I was shocked that such an upscale restaurant would serve frozen fries with it. I asked the waiter for no pickle and the first thing I see is a large pickle atop the bun. Had to send it back as the pickle juice had made the bun wet and sour.More

Another awesome meal and service that was cordial, friendly and professional. It was my mother’s 93rd birthday and they treated Mom like a queen. Both Anna (the manager) and the chef visited our table which is always a thrill. THANK YOU, Hogan’s team, for helping...us celebrate the occasion with a bang.More

We've made a reservation on some friends recommendations. Maybe that caused us to set the expectation bar to high. The service timing was off for the most part. We ordered a bottle of wine to accompany the dozen oysters we ordered for appetizer, but nobody...cared to let us know that they were out of stock. Before the oysters arrived I pointed out to the food server that the bread is stale and she brought another basket with...stale bread. Then the oyster arrived. We were halfway through he oysters before the waiter finally came by and we inquire about the wine we ordered. We finished the appetizer by the time the waiter brought the alternative bottle of wine. My wife had sea bass which was excellent, while my black cod was terrible. I received a tail end which was soggy and full of oil, and I personally would not serve that fish cut to a guest in my home. I did not bothered to complain as I was trying to enjoy my time out out with my wife.More
