The restaurant is clean and bright with functional standard diner tables and chairs. The servers were friendly and patient and Louie chatted with us a bit which was fun. The food was very good and not stingy - a better price than fancy diners. They didn't have gluten free bread so the server suggested grilled tomatoes which was great! I love diners and diner breakfasts and so does my boyfriend and we were both very pleased. A senior man came in and was greeted as a regular. A server waited while he fished some change out of his pocket and then she went to buy him a newspaper. I'll be back!

Visited along with my wife, daughter and grandchild this week. We had limited time, yet had a desire for their Pork Souvlaki Dinners, so ordered three of them. Our wait was not excessive, perhaps fifteen minutes to get our food. Souvlaki was superb, tzatziki was tangy, and we received copious amounts of flavoured rice. We took full advantage of the multiple takeout containers for leftovers graciously provided, and enjoyed more food later this week. My only regret was not being able to take our time to eat -- we had an appointment which beckoned. We will surely return.

Looking for a breakfast spot and chanced upon Louie's. The place was packed but we were soon seated. Basic menu but something for everyone offered. Wait staff amazingly friendly and helpful. They don't have gluten free bread but I had a loaf in the car from shopping and they were happy to toast a slice for me. Portions were generous and nicely cooked Not a fancy spot but a good comfortable feel Clean and well designed in a place with good parking available

I called to ask if they had Gluten free and the caller cut me off and said, “Bring your own. We don’t serve vegetarian or vegan or gluten free. It’s a regular diner.” And he hung up.
He must be having such a hard time. And it’s only 8am.

Very clean establishment, and friendly staff. BUT they sit at tables without mask and you can not go to the restroom without walking within 1 1/2 feet of them.
They did not ask any COVID questions or for proof of vaccination.
So we won't return, even though it's good diner food, because we do not want to take the chance.

This is a great diner. I seen the other review re the staff but my experiences have always been positive, whether dining in or taking out. I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. Friendly staff and fantastic food. Don’t let that one review deter you from experiencing this gem!

We are regulars at Louie's diner and it was so nice to back for our first big breakfast of 2024. Today I broke my tradition of spinach and feta omelette and went for perfectly poached eggs and extra crispy bacon and home fries.
If you are a fan of the community diner, give Louie's a try. The cooking is authentic--real eggs, real bacon, real toast, nothing comes prepackaged or diluted (like, say, eggs from a carton or bulked with flour). You can see ingredients, if you steal a peek as you squeeze by the food prep area and grill.
But, truly, the best parts of being at Louie's are servers Jodi and Sandra, who have obviously been there for many years. The know practically everyone who walks in the door and greet them with a smile and a cheery hello. The clientele are mostly "old Miltonians" [We are "new" Miltonians of only 25 years residence :-) ]. Jodi and Sandra are quick to arrive at your table with menus and coffee, and they remember the regulars' favourite orders pretty well, so service is efficient and easy. Then, when they have a few seconds, they stop to catch up on your news and share their own. They are little bright lights in a busy world, and I don't know what Hugh and I would do, if we had to replace the homey-ness of Louie's for some reason. There just aren't many places like it anymore.
So. Highly recommend. A great place to make into your little hometown haven in a big confusing world. To Sandra and Jodi, the kind faces of Louie's, and, of course, to Louie, Pete, and Laz, who keep the grill hot and the food consistently authentic-diner, our grateful thanks for your hard work and kindness.

WOW!!! Friendly and family oriented diner,
My wife and I went for breakfast at this diner for the first time and this is now our favourite breakfast place. The food is awesome and the price is cheaper than most of the diner that we always go to ., the food is fantastic and we highly enjoyed this place if you want excellent breakfast this is the place to go in Milton or if you are just passing by from another town you have to try this place…

The portions were quite large. I ordered corn beef hash with scrambled potatoes and rye toast. The hash brown potatoes were blackened not browned. Burnt onions in the hash browns. The rye bread was good but over buttered. The place was packed with people on a Saturday at noon. The single outside door opened constantly which caused it to be quite cold and breezy. We were 3 tables away from the door. After waiting for the bill we found out you have to line up at the cashier to get your bill. It was also the line to order takeout. If you want an inexpensive all day breakfast, and quantity over quality, you might like it more than me.

We had the breakfast special. 3 eggs, choice of bacon,ham or sausage, home fries cooked to order or tomatoes for the carb conscious folks, with choice of toast and complete with coffee. All for $8.95. Monday to Friday 6am-11am.
A real deal and service was fast and servers very friendly. Whenever we’re in the area, we always eat here.

Louie's Diner is a great place to have your bacon and eggs with a pile of freshly cooked potatoes. While you are there say hello to Louie and the gang who literally know and greet everyone in Milton.

Limit indoor seats with no elbow or legs room compare to Cora.( if you pull chair out most likely you'll hit whomever sit behind you, no coat or jacket hanger...)
Very limit of selection for fresh fruits compare to Cora or Syponium.
No patio seat compare to Syponium.
No wifi compare to Cora.
Suitable for ppl quick bite with lower budget options and enjoy less personal space.

We wanted to drive out of Toronto a bit before having breakfast. Did a search and found Louie's. Really glad we did. Good coffee, omelettes and pancakes. Friendly service and definitely a local favorite. Most of the customers knew each other. Clean and bright. Easy drive from 401. This is our new place going home from Toronto.
