We took a friend from Europe here for lunch and had a great time. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed with a horse theme. It's pub food but well done; great selection of beer. The sticky toffee pudding was way over the top but in...a good way. The service was very friendly and quick. I would go back anytime.More
Good food, friendly service, overall nice place to go. Variety of seating options, sidewalk patio, backdoor patio and indoor dining. Price is very reasonable. Enjoyed a couple of vegetarian options on the menu.
Good variety of food for adults and children. Good selection of beers of tap. Great atmosphere. Nice pub food.
The "special cottage pie" was mince without flavour or effort - instant potato topping with a dash of cheese. If it were a date it would be desperate! The curry not much better. The desert was great. The waitress......well.....
My hubby and I decided to stop in on a saturday night to grab a drink. We seated our selves and waited for someone to come by. There were a few other tables there all with drinks. However there was no one at the bar...itself. We waited..... And we waited. At one point I started wondering if this is a self serve type of thing. lol. After 15 minutes we realized no one was coming so we went to a different bar.More
Dropped in for a beer and a shot of Jameson This place has changed it's name and ownership a coup,e of times in a few decades, must admit it looks the best it has in awhile, wasn't very busy, I had a Kilkenny, gotta have...the best Irish beer in my mind, definitely on March 17th, and a shot of Irish whisky, normally I've been a Bushmills fan, but I will admit Jameson was a welcomed addition to my palate.More
My friends and I like to partake in the biweekly get together on Saturdays to go to some local pubs on Broadway for live music or karaoke. The foal is ALWAYS a stop for us; usually setting the mood and kicking off the night. They...have a great selection of beers (like surpising amount in a good way) and they have this huuuugggeee 32 oz sangria in a mason jar that is my go to. Homemade and delicious. The owner, Eric, is by far one of the best humans in Orangeville. Not even exaggerating. He always knows what we want and is always making recommendations if we aren't sure what we want. I get the veggies and dip (mainly for safety of mind that my 2 32oz sangrias cancel out with some veggies) but THEIR HOMEMADE DILL DIP. Yes. Just yes. Do it. On top of everything else its always a chill and coxy environment which is so rare with the pub scene in Orangeville. I wish more people would come in sometimes but also happy because then we get all the love. But alas, this review is me screaming 'THIS PLACE IS SO WHOLESOME AND GREAT!'More
I have been to this establishment over the years and under different names/owners, have to say this is the best one! Food and service were awesome and very friendly. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and the servers were very helpful.
This is the friendliest pub in town. Easily the best burger, great curry selections and their daily selection of meat pies are comfort food to die for. The courtyard patio is like being in a friend's backyard. Can't recommend it enough. Always welcoming and cozy...for all ages. We drop in before the theatre and it's perfect.More
Huge thanks to The Foal restaurant who once again accommodated us for a late birthday dinner last night at 9pm with the full menu of their amazing food Highly suggest their mozzarella sticks, samosas and 3 cheese garlic bread to start👌🏻 Balas Chicken curry is...divine with the perfect amount of heat, try the Parmesan crusted grilled cheese omg 😋 beef dip and cottage pie are our favourites & so delicious and the burger 🍔 was perfection. We’ve eaten here quite a few times and have never been disappointed, food is fresh and delicious, service is great, atmosphere is warm and cozy English pub (to which I’m partial) and who doesn’t love being surrounded by images of horses. If you’ve not tried them I urge you to do so, you won’t be disappointed.More
Stopped in for lunch with friends, and for what we expected for the most part. Food was average, service average, in a dark dated location which was far from busy. Would go again, but do know there is lots of superior locations near by I...would choose to go to first.More
Went to this pub on a Saturday for lunch because I was told they served great burgers. Awesome burger. It was delicious and I will be going back. Highly recommend
Visited this pub with some family for lunch during the week. It was exactly what you’d expect for a pub. Dark inside, “old” decor and not very busy. We all ordered something different. Fish tacos, steak sandwich with salad and BLT with sweet potato fries....We all enjoyed our meals but it didn’t knock our socks off. Gentlemen serving us was pleasant and we were looked after promptly and politely. Prices were decent as well. It was Taco Tuesday so they were $5 each not bad! It’s a take it or leave it kind of place. You’ll be full and won’t be disappointed but you won’t be talking about it for weeks after!More
The 6 of us (ages ranging from 9 to 82) went here after our walk through the Christmas Lights In The Park so we could grab either a drink or snack depending on each of our individual appetites. The staff were very friendly and accommodating...to our requests and the food was delicious! Our selections ranged from appetizer size nachos to full meal size chicken and shrimp fettuccine. Even a kids menu item ordered. All of us were pleased with our order and the menu offered a good number of tasty selections. The place is clean and welcoming. We would definitely come again!More
