First time visiting today since pre-Covid, prior to that this was actually a favorite spot to visit by my wife and I as the fish and chips were pretty good. Today however was a much different story. Fries were extremely salty, the fish a 2...piece meal was just barely cooked and soggy (and that was after I had asked for it to be lightly battered). The quality of this has significantly dropped since last visit which is a major disappointment. It at best gets 2 stars as the server was friendly otherwise a 1 star would have been awarded.More

This is a great restaurant for comfort food, they have mostly pub grub and there is something for everyone. I highly recommend the mini yorkies but the fish and chips and burgers are fab too. We walked in for lunch. Right away noticed the restaurant was understaffed. Only saw one server who seemed to be the greeter, busser, bartender, and server all in one. However the straw that broke the camels back is when we waited nearly 10 minutes to...our our order in while our server sat talking about travel to our neighbouring table (not like she was busy with work duties). What made this all worse was what appeared to be the manager standing a few tables away watching this all go down. Ultimately we put some cash down to cover our drinks then left to another restaurant where we received better service. Would not recommend.More

We made a last minute reservation for a table of 16. The staff was very accommodating and the service and food was fantastic. All food came out together, and the were able to easily accommodate separate bills even though we were all mixed up at...our table. I will definitely go there again!More

Service was a little slow but it was worth the wait. Food was excellent. Price was good since my sister in law was paying.

We specifically went there for the french onion soup as no one carries it anymore. It was simply amazing along with the burger meal and the poutine was awesome! I have been to Ireland. The food at fion maccools is no where near a good representation of Irish food. Real Irish food is not bland and just covered in salt. Someone in the company (a chef perhaps?) needs to visit Dublin and see what...the food is really like. Maccools does have good service and a great selection bof beers.More

Went for dinner with my wife while staying in a hotel near Orangeville. The service staff were the best we have experienced in a long time, doing everything to make our visit successful and enjoyable. My shepherds pie special was very tasty and filling. My...wife had the butter chicken curry that ended up being way too hot for her, but she did order it hot. She had to unfortunately return it with no questions asked and many apologies by the staff.More

Stopped in for an early dinner on our way back home from Collingwood on Sunday afternoon. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted but when I saw the Fionn sign and after a good meal at a sister establishment I said to the wife let’s...give it a try. The restaurant was not busy because we were probably ahead of the dinner rush. What stood out was the music volume, one would think they were setup for a raucous Saturday night instead of a Sunday dinner crowd. The restaurant is on the smaller side and very neat and clean, wait staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was diametrically opposites, my wife thought her Shepherds Pie was one of the nicer offerings she has had, I ordered the Sunday beef wrap special that was disappointing. The meal is basically a wrap that contains a little beef and a lot of mashed potatoes and a few sliced carrots. The mashed potatoes were overwhelming and made the meal soft and sloppy with very little texture. Probably won’t stop again on our way thru townMore

Three couples enjoyed a casual dinner at Fionn’s. The service here is always excellent! It was very busy but that didn’t impact the service one bit! Everyone enjoyed their meals. I am writing this review because the lamb I ordered was sooooo good! The live...music that started early in our visit was an extra unexpected treat! I highly recommend the restaurant!More

Good food, fast service, live music on the weekends, drinks were great and our waitress popped by quite frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. Great night out
