During covid when we wanted to eat out or I guess do take out, this was our go to. Always fresh and really delicious, there location is not the greatest for exposure, I wish they had a better spot. After seeing this restaurant featured on You Gotta Eat Here on the Food Network, I took note to stop by if I am ever in the neighbourhood. I am so glad I did. After watching the episode I was a little suspect if the Cheesesteak...was going to be as good as the host responded on his first bite. It lived up to expectations. In full disclosure, I have never had a Philly Cheesesteak in Philadelphia before, and to be honest, I am not a huge fan on the meal generally, but this was thoroughly enjoyable. The cook (Owner?) featured on the show actually cooked my steak and it was just like on the show. It was juicy and flavourful. I am not a picky eater and like just about everything, but this was outstanding. My wife had the chicken option and she was equally pleased. We shared the generous amount of homecooked fries. I had the "Original." The server did not suggest a signature item, which I wanted to know to have the full experience, so I went for the Original. It was the same one featured on the show. I would highly recommend this place if in the neighbourhood. I don't generally ever give 5 stars and hardly ever 2 or lower. But, this place earned it. Two sandwiches, shared an order of fries and shared a soda came to over $30 (with tip). So, little expensive. But worth it. I also enjoyed the atmosphere. I would highly recommend. Stopped by on a while for lunch and had the original sandwich. Friendly counter staff. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. (Was told it would be 8 minutes but was definitely less than that). And while I can’t speak to the...“authenticity” of the philly cheese steak as others have I can speak to how much I enjoyed it. I found the beef flavourful and juicy. A good ration of meat to onions. Not too much cheese but also enough to add to the taste of it all. My only beef (pun 100% intended) would be where they placed the cheese. It was in the “crook” of the bun so I didn’t necessarily get cheese with each bite but got a lot of cheese on some bites. A more even distribution of cheese on top of or underneath beef could correct this minor annoyance. I’d definitely go back for a quick lunch or on the go supper.More

Went there after a hike at Mono Cliffs and it was a great choice. Lots of options from beef to chicken to gluten free. Menu could be better organized on the board to simplify the choosing of what you want on it. Every sandwich has...a different name with different sets of toppings. How bout just a list of all toppings and how much for each one costs after it - much simpler and less confusing. The real deal is the family meal with includes 6 sandwiches (veal or chicken), fries, salad and something else (forgot to be honest) for $48!!! Next time we go, we would definitely get that. Lovely staff, so friendly, ordered our food and it was made there for us while we sat, then we got it, oh my, it was amazing! First poutine in Canada...not last, that’s for sure. Loved it. Will be back ...probably before this even gets published.

This wasn't even close to an Authentic Cheesesteak! I Should know...I lived in Philly! let's talk about the soggy calabrese they serve it on...should be an amoroso hoagie roll. I can forgive them for not having provolone...but the wiz was almost non-existent! I cannot forgive...the disgusting ground up bits of beef - ground up!!...come on!! Should be made with thiny SLICED meat WIT onions. I was so excited...and left so disappointed!More

First time great! Second time meh, third time horrible. Asked for extra onions, cheese and hot peppers $$$. My husband had the veal parmigiana with cheese and mushrooms. One water, one brio $27.27. Steak barely had cheese at all. Only maybe a tablespoon of onions...and 4 or 5 pickled hot peppers. Steak must have been cooked beside the soggy veal as the steak tasted sweet. The veal was sweet with a lot of oregano. Ridiculous price and flavour for what they offer! Never again!!!More
