Hi there !

#2 - Is that the first or only time that you have had a rude person on the phone when you called the restaurant ? If it is the first time, even though it is wrong and unprofessional, we really do not know what the circumstances were that day. Was it a busy day and she had 10 different things going at the same time and may have been inadvertently 'short'?, was it just a 'bad day' for personal reasons ? (sometimes we all have to work despite having a child or spouse in the hospital, a friend or family member passing away or close to passing away....I am NOT making excuses because none of that is your fault, or your problem, but sometimes we all do that without meaning to.
#3, I would not let that get in the way of enjoying the fabulous food, if it is an isolated incident.
Just as an aside, having lived in communities and worked with a lot of people of varying ethnic backgrounds, an answer that we consider rude is often the way things are done where they come from and the context is lost in translation.
Speaking 2+ languages, I know that if I translate a comment from, lets say German to English using and exact translation, word for word, it often sounds pompous when it actually is not. If I use the correct English version of the words, it wounds normal....not sure if that makes any sense, and again, I am NOT making excuses for this sort of thing, it is something that people from other countries have to learn, the proper 'Canadian/English' phrases etc.
I would however approach the manager and let them know about your concerns and perhaps they can use your concerns to better themselves.
Hope this helps :)
