My wife and I, enjoy going to the Black Wolf however we haven’t been there since the spring as we are usually at the lake. So today, October 29th at approximately 4pm we went in for an early dinner. We were greeted by the hostess...and seated at a booth. So after 15 minutes with no server coming to our table we walked out. It was nice to see the staff near the back of the bar laughing it up instead of attending tables. We did notice other tables also leaving. Won’t be going there againMore

Food was absolutely cold. The fat was still congeal on the ribs. Who the hell is supervising the kitchen. Any so called BBQ chef in the kitchen doesn’t send this out to a table. After 30 minutes of waiting....come on Wow...how can you honest serve...this. Felt bad for the server training the new employee at first but she said we’re sorry and didn’t really care. So we left. Never had cold ribs from the fridge served at a BBQ smokehouse before. First and last time here.More

My husband and I wanted a nice dinner prior to going to the theatre. There are a lot of fine restaurants to choose from in the area. We were so pleased with our choice. The Black Wolf’s menu was our deciding factor. They have a...wide selection of choices, of course you must enjoy ‘smoked cuisine’. Their rib and wing platter was delicious. The ribs were fall of the bone and so meaty. Hubby had homemade soup and a beef brisket sandwich dish. Again just perfect. Their prices are very reasonable and the beer good and cold. Try a Black Wolf Lager to accompany your meal.Their service was excellent. As an added bonus there is entertainment on Friday and Saturday evening’s. Five star and we will be back.More

We ordered numerous dishes, everything was both bland and salty at the same time, and all tasted of tinned gravy.

A Thursday evening, there was only 1 staff and approximately 20 people indoors and on the patio. The waiter was run off his feet. The food was brought out in dribs and drabs (He only has 2 hands). Consequently, it was less than hot. We...waited quite a while for it and without a drink for a longish time. Food was mediocre at best, I could write a lot more about that.More

We went last night as Wednesday is their special "buy one get one free" appetizer night. We each ordered a pound of wings, which are considered an appetizer. We ordered maple chipotle, honey garlic and dry Cajun. The wings were juicy and a good size...and were delicious. We also ordered calamari, which was really delicious and the artichoke dip, which was so good I could have licked the bowl! We also had bruschetta, which was okay. The waitress was very friendly and and personable, and attentive. We had a lovely window table overlooking Broadway (the Main Street) which was quite cozy on a cold January night. The total for 3 people ordering 6 appetizers, 2 beers, 1 HUGE glass of wine (12 oz.) and several soft drink refills, was only $72.00 and we were all full! We would definitely go back again, especially for this deal!More

If you’ll just look away from the decor you’ll get an absolutely delicious meal priced very reasonable and the staff are great. We had ribs and wings. I don’t usually brag about food but this is worth it! Presentation served on a wooden board love...it. Fries omg so Good. Wings not overcook like they usually are at other restaurants. But the ribs stole the show. Yummers!!!!More

Stopped here for lunch because the menu online had things our family wanted. When we got there I wanted to walk away. At the entrance, a woman was smoking. The inside door glass was broken in two spots. Overall, it felt like an old bar...that I would go to in my university days. The servers were friendly, but the food took a long time - especially when we were the one ones ordering food. Others were at the bar, playing pool, or finishing their meal Our daughter likes the poutine and nachos. Food was plentiful, however the wings and ribs were dry. The bathrooms were filthy - the kind where you don’t want to touch anything. Sorry folks, I don’t recommend coming here.More

Ordered takeout, just the worst chicken wings I have ever had! 8 wings, fries, coleslaw, 12oz draft, 15% tip, $31.00. The wings were rubbery and tough, the fries were stale, and I tried the coleslaw and spat it out. Very expensive for what you get,...the trucker waitress was swearing around a minor, and made the excuse that other bars are worse?? This is a bar, a dive, cougar pick up spot, and I will never go back!More

The brag about being a bbq or smoke house is completely overblown. I know bbq but these folks do not. Thankfully the portions are so small that you have room left for another restaurant and hopefully cleanse the “flavour “ from your memory. Service is...lousy so it walks hand in hand with the food. Your taste buds would have to located at the wrong end of your anatomy for this to be acceptable. I don’t often give a negative review but you earned it.More

We stopped in for lunch while visiting friends in Orangeville. After being seated, we noticed the carpet was filthy. Flies were constant - I killed 3 before the food came. I ordered the "New" Schnitzel sandwich. I could've deep fried my sandal and enjoyed it...more because it was so tough. Server was nice but only one for whole lunch crowd. Will drop this from future visits to downtown Orangeville.More

We made a reservation on a Monday at noon. At 12:05 the doors were still locked so we were the first table of the day and the only table for the first third of our lunch. We opted for a booth inside. We were greeted...with lemon ice water which was the best part of the experience. The interior is kind of dumpy and unattractive. The beet salad was ok, the steak sandwich was average but the fries came out cold (how? First table of the day) and the Cajun wings were ok but the accompanying salads were subpar. The Caesar had no flavour at all and the mixed field greens house salad was swimming in dressing and inedible. Our server didn’t really check in on us or offer drink refills until the end despite having only one other table. There are better places to visit in Orangeville.More
