After a wonderful day on the water we stopped at my sisters favorite Restaurant in Petawawa and were absolutely blown away! The staff was engaging and quick to prepare our order…everyone who walked thru their doors was greeted with a friendly “hello”. We left with...our 5 x chicken shawarma’s, baklava and hummus beiruty. Nothing disappointed!! This was the best food I’ve had in a long, long time…can you please come to Fredericton??More

I grabbed a Mezza for 1 and garlic potatoes for a picnic in the park. The flavours were so refreshing! The portions were also very generous - there was enough for lunch AND dinner!

We stopped here to eat on a trip from Thessalon to Montreal. We were very glad we did. The service is friendly and fast. The food wad fresh and delicious. Such a welcome change from all the chain restaurants that line both sides of highway...17. It is worth the ~ 3 km side trip. You can take food out or eat at one of their 4 outdoor tables. I can heartily recommend the Madameek salad with chicken but really, everything looked good.More

With strong ties to the military community, Madameek offers fresh, scrumptious Lebanese food that has me going back weekly. The staff know my preferences, are friendly and courteous. If you travel by Petawawa, it's worth the 3km side-trip off the highway to enjoy their delectable...dishes.More

Stopped for lunch prior to a meeting on the base. It was simply fabulous. I had the kafta with rice and it was delicious and plentiful. Prices are more than fair and service was extraordinary. It is small and can get extremely busy but definitely...worth the visit!More

My brother-in-law suggested this spot and four of us went and ordered a meal for take-out. Now in the Maritimes and also in Edmonton the popular dish is referred to as a donair, but having lived and worked in the Middle East I know it...as shawarma. This is a family owned and operated restaurant with a few table available for dining in. Clean, tidy and well maintained, this is a nice place to eat. As for the shawarma, you have the choice of beef or chicken. The beef is great and the home made sweet sauce is absolutely delicious. We also opted for an order of falafel, which had just the right amount of tahni. The food is made/prepared right in front of you and you can select what you would like added to the beef. The young man who served us was from Palestine and we had the opportunity to chat a bit about our time in the Gaza strip. For about 10 bucks per person this was a delightful meal, with generous portions, fresh and well prepared.More

Love the food, everything is fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are also a friendly bunch. I would eat it every day if I could.

Amazing food good prices some is spicy so be careful what you order. Was opened to support his son who was killed while doing a military tour Afghanistan...this was his dream.

Every time I go to Petawawa for work I always stop by Medameek's for my chicken shawarma. If you've never eaten one, you need to come by here and try one. The staff is very friendly!
