Food was great, especially the Lake Erie Perch dinner. Great atmosphere, and great location on West Street. Brought friends here for lunch and everyone enjoyed. Will definitely be back
Hello all. Firstly this is our go to restaurant to always bring our out of town guests. We had lunch there today., As usual the food was wonderful and fresh. The flavours of the soups and main courses were to die for. The wait staff...as usual went above and beyond to make sure our lunch was 100% ok. Kelly saw us sitting across the street near the canal. Even though the restaurant was short staff she said she would take care of us in that location. She did and went above and beyond in her service to us. Kelly is a good ambassador for the restaurant. It is nice to find a hard working pleasant person these days., Keep this girl, she knows how to treat your customers. Again thanks Rick and Marilyn RidgewayMore
I don't know anymore but is it normal to sit down and wait 30 min before someone takes your order for lunch . Can't comment on the food we didn't get that far . Very poor service, it seemed like they were taken care of...the people sitting across the street.More
Try doing our job for one day. I highly doubt it took 30 minutes for drinks. We do have many happy customers just go to Google reviews to see them. Grumpy and whine customers suck too.
I had high hopes going into this restaurant. Great Location. Great Atmosphere inside. Unfortunately the Food was disappointing. After waiting over +15 Minutes for our Appetizer. It looked like store bought pita bread with cheese and garlic thrown on top. The Fish I ordered (...Fish and Chips ) was Basa. That alone tells you that it is not going to be good. Sorry, call me Old Fashion. But F&C is either Cod or Haddock! Unfortunately again taste less. The Fries looked like they had been Re-Fried once too many.More
We chose the outdoor area, adjacent to the canal. We stood on the grassed area (me using a cane). There were two empty tables. We waited while the server attended to a table of four people. She didn't acknowledge us, and went into the restaurant....Then a man came out, presumably the manager, as he went from table to table for about six tables near where we were standing, asking if they enjoyed their meals. Wondering why he didn't first seat us and then do that, we nevertheless waited patiently. He didn't acknowledge us. The server then returned, attended to a table, and again didn't acknowledge us. After patiently waiting 10-15 minutes, we left. On a positive note, we are grateful to have enjoyed a lovely meal with friendly service at another restaurant close by.More
This restaurant was quaint right next to the marina. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was good quality and delicious however, the pasta was over cooked and the salmon was as well.
Yea it was quiet .and nice setting for dinner I wouldn't go back for fish. Can,t comment on other food.
I normally wouldn't write a poor review but the food was not worth the money we spent. The steak sandwich was a roast beef dip at best but instead of dipping it yourself it comes pre-drenched for you to the point it fell apart trying...to eat it. The temperature everything arrived at the table was also off putting as it came right out of the kitchen. Unsalted soggy fries. Just overall not a good experience.More
We came across this restaurant while making a leisurely afternoon drive to the Port Colborne area. This restaurant offered indoor and outdoor seating, as well as seating in an area across the street in a park alongside the Welland Canal and the Clarence Street lift...bridge. It was very interesting to see that bridge in action from our seats at the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality of the menu. The Garlic Steak Sandwich and the Canalside burger were very tasty, as were the accompanying salads that had cranberrys, mixed cheese, and pecans.More
The owner was very responsive in accommodating an extra night at the last minute! Beautiful hotel with a great view.
Stayed at their suites on top of the restaurant, went down for supper, had the strawberry mint soup…which was amazing….who knew….with a tarragon chicken wrap, pickerel wings…delicious, and some lobster mushrooms. Everything was great…even got to watch a ship go by…definitely would go back
I took a friend for her birthday Sat Aug 13 to have early dinner before theatre, We sat outside near the canal. It was busy but our waitress handled everything with a fabulous sense of humour and very helpful with selections on the menu We...both enjoyed our meal, it was served hot and in a good amount of time. Would definitely go back!More
We sat outside and enjoyed their brews and fish&chips, which were both delicious. Salad was delicious too! I would definitely recommend eating here!
We just love this place. We love to spend our summer sitting on the sidewalk patio or on the Canal side tables for sharables or dinner and a great glass of red wine. Staff are super friendly and the food is wonderful. Our go to...place for sure.More
