After a stroll down the street we went into Queenies for a quick look and maybe a dessert. We chose a Pecan Square and a Chocolate Cinnamon Roll. Yum! The Pecan Square crust was made from short bread and was like a butter tart on steroids. The Cinnamon Roll was made with puff pastry, rolled like a cinnamon roll and... More

My best friend and I adore Queenies. We love that we can get good desserts, and enjoy ourselves in a relaxed environment. The staff is lovely and the desserts... they're to die for.

This is a place with such a relaxed atmosphere....you can sit at tables, or on stools that look onto the very active Port Hope downtown. We had a pecan square (very sweet.........but what a lovely crust) and a Cranberry cake....which was the opposite in sweetness to the pecan square, but really good! Thank you.

I work in Port Hope and I go to Queenies on Fridays to treat myself - it is by far the best bakery in town; the staff are friendly and the pastries are consistently impressive. A great place to take it easy with friends.

The apple strudel is amazing. All the desserts looked fantastic. We enjoyed dropping in here both days. The service and atmosphere were great also. A gem.

During the late afternoon of August 12th I had my first visit to Queenies. The second we walked in we were welcomed by a warm smile from the girl serving us. My husband and I stopped in for some treats and coffee and were very impressed, we had a peanut crunch bar and a haystack, they were delicious and tasted... More

Description
Surprisingly I cant find much on this little bakeshop. It is unbelievable! Value, quality and customer service that would shame most businesses. I would drive from Toronto, just for the lemon squares...and the date squares...oh and the brown butter cookies. Well you get the idea. I think this gem has only been around for a few months. The girls that work there are unbelievably friendly. On the way to the cottage? Out for a drive? Do yourself a favour and stop at Queenies.
