Duffy’s was once a great spot for dining and entertainment It now has declined into a very poor establishment Slow service, marginally clean, unprofessional staff. Just a real shame

Got there at 5:15 and waited to be seated only to be told they weren’t taking anymore customers. How rude. Their sign says open till 8 pm - so clearly they don’t want the business are ok to violate shingle laws of Ontario and once...again prove how awful Southampton is to visitorsMore
The food was terrible..Only 1 person to do the bar and tables.. We went there because of the good reviews.
If you’re looking for fish and chips, this is not the place to go. New (to us) menu tries to have a bit of everything- tacos, pasta, pub fare and fish & chips, which is what we came for. We asked for halibut, but not...sure what kind of fish we actually got. Fish was thin and breading was crispy on the outside, but gummy inside by the fish. French fries seemed frozen and had zero flavour. We’ve been coming here every summer for years, but missed last year and it seems that the restaurant had changed hands again. The whole vibe has changed, and not in a good way. If you’ve never been here before and you don’t want fish & chips, Duffy’s may be fine for you. If you go expecting the good fish & chips like you’ve had in previous years, this is not the place for you.More
If you like real fish and chips - halibut and chips - avoid this place. You'll be disappointed. Three of us in our party ordered the halibut and chips and got a coarse, less tasty fish - likely cod. Along with french fries deep fried...form frozed - yeech! Nothing about the fish was halibut except the desctription on the menu and, of course, the price. When we asked the manager about it he basically shrugged and said we get so many people in the summer - who cares? Maybe you don't, but if you do, this isn't the place for you.More
This has to be one of the most bland and tasteless fish n chips I’ve ever had. The halibut was chewy and didn’t have an ounce of crispiness from the outside and flakiness on the inside. Besides the server kept messing the order by bringing...in wrong items and incomplete orders. This is one of the places I went with a lot of expectations and walked out totally disappointed.More
Out for a day trip to Southhampton, we thought that we would have lunch here in town. judging by the restaurant's name, it should be good for the fish and chips at least. How wrong we were, the service, although pleasant, was slow, there was...only one waitress on, but the place wasn't that busy. Our meal finally arrived, the fish was good, the chips were cold and the accompanying gravy was congealed. The waitress was told about the dismal state of the chips, she smiled and took the plates away. It's a place that we won't visit again. Also, chips should be fresh cut not frozen.More
The tables and restaurants was very dirty, We ordered the perch fish and chips..The fish was tasteless greasy and frozen fries, the tarters sauce was like tasteless mayo, and the coleslaw tasteless as well and very small.. Never Return
Reviewed menu online, looked like a good option for dinner. We are not locals, but have rented in Southampton for a few days. Walked in. Sign said “please wait to be seated” so we did. One guy working. Looked at us, walked past and went...to talk to another table. Only three tables with customers. Two were eating. Another couple waiting. After 5 mins we sat at a table. Guy looked annoyed that we sat down. Dropped two dirty paper menus in front of us and said he’d be back. Menu just a sample of what’s online on their website. Decor is NOT like the photos on TripAdvisor. It’s run down. It’s a Sunday of the long weekend and they were not prepared to serve dinner. We left without ordering.More
Best fish & chips we’ve had in a long time perfectly cooked visited duffys a few times while we where in town. The Baja fish Tacos where amazing My son had a burger too and loved it. Staff are so friendly & efficient So nice...to see the manager coming out & chatting to everyone too. We went on a Friday and they had open mic night was awesome to hear amazing live musicMore
We both ordered the haddock and chips . The haddock was good but I have have had better seafood. Menu is a little misleading as the price listed was with a coupon, have to read the fine print. We might return when in the area.
I’m so glad we came here today. Cool day for the beach in South Hampton, so we decided to warm up with lunch at Duffy’s. Fantastic. Fresh ingredients. Fresh oil that the fish and fries are fried in....(and the fries don’t taste like fish) Crispy...and delicious. We will come back for sure. Baja tacos were top notch.More
My mom and I enjoyed a Sunday Dinner at Duffy's. She had a wrap, stuffed with fresh goodies, and a huge amount so she had half to take home! I had the fish and chips. This time, I was impressed with the french fries. Perfectly...cooked, and with that blistered crust that is so popular now. The service was also very quick and efficient.More
The fish was terribly greasy and when i cut into it i felt that the fish was under cooked ... i couldnt eat it. Will not be going there again
