The ambiance of the place is great - classy and sophisticated decor makes the place seem very expensive and high class. As well as a very friendly and welcoming staff. Though our server was kind, he did not know much about the restaurant's drink menu...(was not aware of the different types of beer and vodka they have). The calamari appetizer were priced a few dollars more than the average restaurant yet were much below the standard of other restaurants. First off, the quantity was rather small and the quality was not there. I have had much better at lower end restaurants; they did not resemble traditional Italian-style fried calamari. The bread was also very small and not left at the table. The servers came around once and offered each guest a piece then we never saw the bread again. It was served with butter and goat cheese which was very tasty. What was the MOST DISAPPOINTING was everyones main course. Each of us paid a significant price more than higher steakhouses but were willing to do so as we expected fantastic quality. It was nowhere near fantastic. My husband and I shared th 48oz tomahawk steak priced at approx $160. The steak had a very strange taste that we just could not distinguish but it was so off from a regular steak/marinate taste that my husband only ate two pieces as he was so turned off by the flavour. I tried my best to finish the steak but the only way I could do so was by adding heaping amounts of salt to disguise the odd flavour. Also, for a $160 steak, it was not tender. Everyone else's meals were definately below average as we all agreed that we could make steaks better on a BBQ at home. For the price and quality, this place is at best a 2/5. We were better off going to a place like The Keg which is reasonably priced yet always delicious. Overall, a huge disappointment and way too expensive for what they offer.More

Parking is free and plentiful; Bread and fig yogurt is excellent; Pinot Grigio best we’ve been served. Onions in soup needed to be cartelized; Brisket sandwich done on Wonder type buns and brisket had no flavour; the Lobster BLT Salad had faux ‘heirloom’ tomatoes, and...the lobster was very cold, tasteless and plopped on top without dressing. We had eaten here before but this time was very disappointing.More

We enjoyed our first visit here. Free onsite valet parking (perhaps because of a wedding event that evening?) Found the restaurant to be upscale in looks but still felt friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed our dinners - each of us had the specials, so we'll have...to try their steaks on the next visit. Both the lobster pasta and the risotto were very tasty. The first cocktail I ordered wasn't made to my liking and they happily replaced it twice with no fuss, and ended up being comped - nice touch. We look forward to returning.More

Very fancy and classy great menu selection! I loveeee the food but the food could be less Salty Service could improve as well, lack of training is obvious or maybe the restaurant is not used to busy nights? Waiting down the waitress constantly is never...fun especially when the restaurant did not look busy.More

This was our second time visiting and brought family as we highly recommended them. There was 7 of us in total which included 2 children, 3 & 5 yo. We enjoyed our meal and were surprised to see that they took the liberty of charging...us 18% gratuity on our bill. We had made reservations for 7 total and were a little annoyed that they kept repeating 8 and we must have corrected them 4 times. They even removed the setting. Bottom line is that it is quite unprofessional to say the least for a local steakhouse. Secondly, wine that I ordered was $16 a glass, however I was charged $19 instead. I had even pointed to the actual wine list to our waiter. Small but still is not acceptable. There were two other tables with couples and on our last visit the same in the evening. I have written a fantastic review in the past, however would no longer recommend this restaurant. There are so many better restaurants. We will not be returning, not even for business purposes.More

Great service and amazing food!! Never expected this place to be top notch, food was cooked to perfection, perfect amount of salt and pepper, as well every bite had the perfect amount of flavour. Everything was plated to perfection.

This was our first time at XXI Chophouse, however we had been to the Doctors house dozens of times in the past. We had dinner reservations for my husbands birthday on a weekday. The restaurants is quite nice. It even has a separate lounging area...around a fireplace, which was quite beautiful. Both our meals were very delicious, as was the wine and dessert. They had even presented my husband with dessert and a sparkler. The service was fantastic, as they were attentive and very pleasant. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.More
