We arrived on fairly busy, Saturday evening to be told by someone at the door that there was only outdoor seating. We asked about the wait and were advised that it would be at least 20 minutes. We asked if we could start outside and...move in when a table opened up. We were told that wasn't possible so we opted for a table outside and zipped up our jackets firmly. Five minutes later, I watched a table inside free up. It sat empty for another five minutes and then the next people to arrive were shown to it. Later, I watched another group who were eating outside, be moved inside to a free table. Clearly, they make up the rules as they go along. Maybe we needed the secret password of the day? All that said, our server was terrific, attentive, made great suggestions and the food arrived quickly. The roasted garlic & parmesan fries are to die for! Loved the Autunno pizza too. Worth the chilly dining experience, despite the chilly reception.More

The service was good, though curt. The food was just OK. I enjoyed the beer I tried, and my friend enjoyed his as well. I hope the menu gets finessed. We will return.

First, we really liked the space (inside not the patio), it definitely has some character (in an old garage) and it very spacious. My partner really enjoyed his burger and fries (huge portion of fries .... I helped with them and they really were very...tasty). I chose the mushroom pizza because the server said their pizzas were amazing. It was cold and barely any mushrooms ... most definitely not amazing. My partner actually bought a couple cans of beer to sample at home and he loved one of them. Service was very good.More

My rating is really a 3.5 star for our experience here. We came for dinner with our 14 month old son and had a couple pints with our dinner. They have a really nice patio setup outside. The beer was very good, and the food...was pretty good as well. My son got the fish and chips. It was a nice portion for a child. My husband said his burger was nothing spectacular, but was pretty decent and my veggie burger was alright too. The fries were great, but my side garden salad was awful. The greens were wilted and looked like some had gone bad, so I tried to eat around it, but there was not point because there wasn't really any taste to it. The vinegarette dressing was ok, but there wasn't anything else on the salad. No cucumbers, tomatoes, nothing. I left almost all of it. Just get the fries...don't try to be healthy.More

Midtown Brewing in Wellington must be the worst run show I’ve ever seen. Not only do they lack any sort of thought or imagination in their beer creation, I waited 10 minutes just to order, only to not have it ever show up after almost...20 minutes of waiting. And I understand the idea that places can be understaffed. This wasn’t the case. Orders were taken and delivered well after I finally put mine in. This is one joint I’ll never attend again. (I know - first world problems! But I definitely needed to warn others away from this hole.)More

Friendly place in what seems to be an old garage. Beers were excellent. Pizzas were thin crust and very flavourful.

Being a local I miss some old menu items. The others had pizza and fries and thoroughly enjoyed them. Not feeling like pizza or a burger I decided to try the shrimp roll expecting something rolled with shrimp. It was just a sml hot dog...bun with a cold kinda tiny cocktail shrimp salad on it.. not at all what expected. Maybe a wrap would have made it easier to eat or more description would have helped here. Please bring back schnitzel and/or fish and chips or chicken fingers or change the shrimp to some large warm sautéed shrimp taco or something. Beer was good!More

I live and work in the area. Until today, I have enjoyed my visits to Midtown Brewery. The inside staff have been very good in the past. Today, upon arrival, I experienced palpable disappointment that I was alone, bordering on contempt, by the greet staff....To say they were rude and unpleasant is an insult to people who work hard but are having a bad day. I was handed a menu and told to take a table “in the back” of the patio. I have dined in many fine restaurants around the world, but nowhere else have I been treated dismissively. The server was obviously over-worked and - again - the fact I was alone and not a family of four from Toronto was a transparently-obvious disappointment to her. Service was perfunctory at best. I did leave a good tip - in cash - which I hope she had the sense not to share with the greeting staff. The food was poor. Burger was obviously purchased frozen from Costco. I work in a related industry nearby. I have recommended this place to customers. Never again. This place has jumped the proverbial shark. Avoid it.More

We were a group of three families who visited MBC on our way back from Sandbanks just before the evening close on 4th July. The staff was very accommodating and friendly for our large party size. The food was served promptly and we loved the...home burger, fresh pizza and sourdough. I specifically loved their local Pilsner and took home a pack to enjoy for the summer. Overall, the dinner at MBC added even more memories in our trip out with friends, thanks MBC.More

Two of us had lunch on June 8, 2022. We took advantage of the nice weather and sat outside. Ordered the burger and the fish and both were well prepared and tasty. Had one of the local beers on tap- the small glass was about...8 oz. Service was friendly and efficient.More

The MBC 13km burger was the best I've had in years! They have the option to add bacon, cheese or to have a gluten free bun. The shoestring fries are crispy and delicious, well slated. My husband had the parmesan and aioli topping on the...fries and they were to die for. Service was fast and friendly.More

We visited Midtown Brewing Company in April 2022. We ordered takeout, which was quick and ordered a few beers to go. We ordered Henry's Sourdough and the Funghi pizza. Both were delicious, although our favourite was the sourdough. Will definitely return.

We had a wonderful supper at the Midtown Brewery. The winter menu is very filling. There is a huge wood burning pizza oven as you walk in. In the dining area there is a large wood burning fireplace. It lends well to the menu. Anything...on the Wood Fired Pizza Menu is tempting. The soup of the day was a home made mushroom soup. I love the Goan Shrimp Curry. We even went back a few days later to just buy the Pizza DoughMore

We stopped in for a late lunch. 2 of us shared the small parmesan fries and a diavolo pizza. Both were really good and filling. Service was friendly and cheery and prices were very reasonable. Would definitely eat here again for a casual meal.
