We went for fish and chips. I live in Picton nearby. Best ever anywhere. Light batter. Haddock crazy good loaded fries. All way under $20.00. This will be a weekly trip for me. Plus wide beer selection and great pizzas.

A fun and lively place, good service and helpful staff. We went on a Friday afternoon and managed to get a table . The place is huge . We had their Funghi pizza , and spicy roasted cauliflower, I wd give both items five star...! However the granny’s apple crumble was a total disappointment.. seemed like they had made a quickie with some canned apples way too sweet for anyone’s good ! It was terrible and maybe they shd call it a short cut pudding ! Rest of the meal and the beers were awesome!More

The customer service was horrific. Seems like they don't really give a crap because they have good food. Yes the pizza and beer was good but the service horrible. I ended up buying some beers after the fact and the girl serving me at the...retail store seemed like she had to do me a favor of packing my beers. No thank you. Nothing of that sort. I will definitely not go there again. My mother-in-law's Italian. She makes way better pizza. Horrible experience. I do not recommend this place to anybody going to Prince Edward county. I've had better truffle fries in Toronto.More

This is located in a parking lot area so sitting outside on a picnic table isn’t ideal. The menu is limited. If you are looking for pizza you will be good. The fries with Asiago and Parmesan were excellent and the beer was good. Because...this is a working brewery there were flies but I don’t think this can be helped.More

Our daughter was getting married in Wellington and we all wanted somewhere casual to eat and meet up the night before the wedding. We went out the week previously and asked if there would be a problem having a group of 20 to dine. We...were told it could get busy but is should be fine. We arrived and after some faffing around had three tables of 6. We were greeted by the server named Amanda and asked what was going on in a very rude tone. I asked if we could have separate bills and she said absolutely not she wasn’t going to serve separate bills to nearly 20 people, I mentioned something about it being difficult as they don’t take reservations. She said well people like you should go to places where they take reservations. We were stunned. Our table comprised of family from the UK and the other tables had visitors from out of province. My family member was appalled and said she had never been spoken to by anyone like that before. I had to agree. Every drink and plate was just slammed on the table in front of us. To note, we were not extra. We just filled their normal tables. The bills were done by table and the tips were much lower than we would normally give. The food was excellent and the beer was great. We then left to go to another place where we were welcomed with open arms and the service was incredible. We were prepared to stay at the midtown for the evening but felt so unwelcome. They lost out on another $1400 in drinks from us. If I were the owner I would be very unhappyMore

This was a 100% miss for us. We waited 20 minutes before heading back to the hostess stand to find out if our server was coming. Ok maybe we were overlooked and moving on. The poor customer service just continued. The servers were obviously overworked...and disorganized and it showed. Every one of them looked absolutely miserable and the food was plain disappointing. The burgers were overdone, the toppings thin. And then the bathroom, oh the bathroom. I have had better experiences in a Johnny on the spot at an outdoor concert. The smell was astonishing of urine and the stainless metal on the walls was just stained in toilet splash and ….. No, just a no. We would not recommend and will not be back. There are so many great places to eat within 15min drive in PEC. It could be great with the layout, parking and general industrial brew art vibe.More

Unfortunately we had terrible service and the food was mediocre. We gathered with family and friends and the staff insisted that we only get one bill for $1100 and figure out who owed what- ridiculous!! We would never return!

We’re a group of four retired couples visiting The County and we decided to have a family get-together at the Midtown Brewing Co., in Wellington. Ontario. An email was sent two weeks before the planned visit inquiring about the restaurant's hours of service and policies...and an email response was received stating they do not take reservations, and large groups may have to be split up at separate tables to accommodate everyone. When our party of eight arrived, we were told to sit at a table and the wait staff would take our order. We were also informed that each table would be provided with only one bill, individuals or couples would not be given separate bills. As more family members arrived, the two wait staff members seemed overwhelmed, and by the end of the night, there were around 40 to 50 guests at five tables. The manager, who was also one of the two servers, presented us with only one bill, for all five tables of 40 to 50 people! The bill totalled over $1,000! She went on to say that we would have to figure out how to pay it ourselves and would only take one payment! Our family laughed, but was frustrated and disappointed at the lack of hospitality and customer service. We had to figure out the bill and payment process ourselves, and in the end, we were a little short of the total because the bill included an 18% gratuity! Our original group of eight are from outside The County, but the balance of the 40 family members that joined us are County residents. Despite the poorly managed billing, everyone had a good time, and we all want to plan to have a similar get-together again. However, I think we have all decided not to go to the Midtown Brewing Co. again unless they change their customer service policies. It seems clear the Midtown Brewing Co. needs to improve its customer service. While it's understandable that the restaurant doesn't take reservations and may have to split up large groups, the wait staff should be prepared to handle such situations better. The manager's decision to change the policy on the spot without warning and to only take one payment was unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress for our family. If the restaurant wants to retain customers - especially County residents - and attract new ones, it needs to prioritize customer service and ensure its policies are communicated clearly and followed consistently.More

We arrived on fairly busy, Saturday evening to be told by someone at the door that there was only outdoor seating. We asked about the wait and were advised that it would be at least 20 minutes. We asked if we could start outside and...move in when a table opened up. We were told that wasn't possible so we opted for a table outside and zipped up our jackets firmly. Five minutes later, I watched a table inside free up. It sat empty for another five minutes and then the next people to arrive were shown to it. Later, I watched another group who were eating outside, be moved inside to a free table. Clearly, they make up the rules as they go along. Maybe we needed the secret password of the day? All that said, our server was terrific, attentive, made great suggestions and the food arrived quickly. The roasted garlic & parmesan fries are to die for! Loved the Autunno pizza too. Worth the chilly dining experience, despite the chilly reception.More

First, we really liked the space (inside not the patio), it definitely has some character (in an old garage) and it very spacious. My partner really enjoyed his burger and fries (huge portion of fries .... I helped with them and they really were very...tasty). I chose the mushroom pizza because the server said their pizzas were amazing. It was cold and barely any mushrooms ... most definitely not amazing. My partner actually bought a couple cans of beer to sample at home and he loved one of them. Service was very good.More
