Fantastic place, great atmosphere and food

My husband and I dropped in to this restaurant at the beginning of this month. The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxing. They even have beautiful pillows on the bench seats! 😊 I had the baked brie with maple syrup, pecans, baguette and apple slices. My husband had the seafood chowder and chicken wings. We both tried everything and it was absolutely divine. The seafood chowder was an authentic Louisiana style (not spicy) and the seasonings were balanced perfectly. There was lots of seafood in it. The baked brie was so delicious I almost ate the whole thing.. The serving sizes are big and the price is very reasonable for chef inspired dishes. Our server was Morgan and I give her 2 thumbs up. She was very attentive, knowledgeable and a delightful person all around. Thank you for such a great experience, North Docks & Kitchen!

yummiest meal in a long time!

We had a fairly early patio dinner. The wait for a table was faster than they predicted and the location overlooking the water is lovely. Service was good and they appeared to follow recommended covid guidelines. The menu was on a laminated sheet - not sure if an online contactless option was available. Others in our group of 4 were pleased with their meals (fish & chips, wings). I had the gnocchi duck poutine with a side jumble salad. That was one of the most satisfying, decadent and interesting meals I've had in a long time (maybe because I've been staying home and cooking for months). But seriously, the poutine was a creative and savoury combination that totally hit the spot for me. The salad was very fresh and not your usual bland garden combo. Wonderful wrap-up to a perfect day cycling to local vinyards.

Lunch on the Patio

We were recommended to stop at this location for lunch as a mid day break in our wine tour & it did not disappoint. Although it was a cool and cloudy day the atmosphere was warm & welcoming. The staff were friendly & attentive & the food was excellent! Local Fresh pickerel made the fish & chips a must have. Would definitely recommend.

Disappointed and Won't Be Back

Very limited menu, mostly burgers, and overpriced compared to better restaurants in the area. Meat was overcooked and dry and had a strong taste. Not sure where the specialty cheese was. For a $19. burger at lunch time, I expected more. If you want to become a "burger joint" then at least do it well. Staff were good, however.

Great Patio

With Covid, it was great to be able to visit North Docks recently and enjoy their patio. Great views of the water. Service is a tad slow but this is due to Covid so patience is essential. The food was good - ordered the Fish and Chips which is good for two persons to share. The Waupoos Cider was very refreshing as it was a hot day. Overall a good experience

Large portions of poor quality food 🍔🍟

Only visit for the view 👀 the meals aren’t worth the long wait for service &/or food. The hamburgers are overpriced, 20 & 23 bucks for an uncooked first time round, overcooked second time brought to table. Really disappointed with this cute water patio in Wellington, won’t be back.

Great time!!!

We showed for supper and had a great seat on the patio overlooking the water. The view was great. We were promptly served by our waitress Kendra, who was nothing less than amazing in her professionalism and happy cheerful attitude. We were informed of the days special and then drinks. We had different meals, 2 of us ordered burgers a Guiness cheese burger, and the cool ranch,which were quite good(as were the fries) and I would easily recommend. One person had the fiesta bowl and was pleased as well, but the winner was the person who ordered the fish and chips! They were crispy and melt in your mouth delicious (yes, there was regret we could not return the next day so as to order fish and chips, darn you delicious burger). So, in the end, great view, great food, and thanks again to Kendra for the great service. Will be back again.

No Take Out

On line information notes take out at this restaurant. While visiting Wellington this week called North Docks for take out only to be told they do not do take out. Information posted should really be corrected especially during these times.

Okay meals at a reasonable price. Nothing special. Didn’t have to wait for too long to be seated at a table with a nice view. There was a long wait for our food once it had been ordered. Falafel was very crunchy on the outside and dry inside. Not sure would eat there again.

went from top notch to awful

this place used to serve the absolute best fish tacos. the entire menu was delicious. it has since changed menus and chefs and the food was awful. the service was great but try somewhere else. not worth your time or money

Pleasant time by the water

Had excellent family experiences here at north docks. We were served by Alexa and Kendra on many occasions. Both amazing waitresses. We enjoyed the fish and chips as well as the salmon blt. Highly recommend.

Great family friendly spot on the water

Stopped in here as a table of 6 with a 3 and 5 year old. Food was great, particularly the home made mozzarella sticks. The service was great and the staff were accommodating to our crazy kids. Vibe was laid back, kid friendly menu options and prices were really reasonable. They also offered lots of local beers and wine as well as some non alcoholic craft sodas. All around a good experience and we'll visit again next near when we're back for another vacation!

Great food and service

I loved the Sunday evening special of fried chicken and shrimp with potato salad and cole slaw. My wife's turkey melt with garden salad was excellent. We also enjoyed fast,friendly service, it was a great experience.

Great for families.

We had a dinner here with our toddler. The setting is lovely, with boats coming and going to the nearby wellington harbour. The food is lovely and great value. The staff were very welcoming, especially to our toddler (as were the other customers sitting around us !). Highly recommend for families.
