I once praised this place for the great burgers. The sad update is that is that they have joined the club of overcooked, heavily dressed burger shops. I was served a dry hockey puck yesterday that was allegedly medium. The 50 cent surcharge for mayo...was also unwelcome on a $22 burger. The views are still great.More

Lovely location on the water. It was a beautiful evening and we saw a wonderful sunset. Disappointed that there was no lamb the night we were there. Our reservation was at 4:15PM (only time available), so it isn't that all the lamb had been served....All four of us wanted the lamb; we had the steak instead - it was delicious! We were given a charcuterie board at no charge, which we really enjoyed. Our server, Kerry, was fantastic - very friendly, and very apologetic about the lamb situation. She didn't rush us, and she was knowledgeable about all items on the menu.More

Great location, parking practically non existent and so disappointing to have two out of the four breakfasts served 10/15 mins between them. It was explained that the hollandaise sauce needed to be prepared again for some reason. Not wanting to make a fuss and since...checking the menu, my husband’s classic breakfast came without the sausage!! It wasn’t that busy but we had a 45 min wait until we received the first of our meals. It was enjoyed apart from the classic breakfast.More

A remarkable dining room and lakefront patio. Even a beachfront area to enjoy. Service was frindly and efficient, but the food only average. The kind of brunch you can get in any diner. And the noise level! This place attracts crowds of young people who...seem to have no sense of appropriate voice levels. The din from the shrieking at neighbouring tables gave us all headaches. Even our server, unprompted, apologized fo our fellow noisy diners and said this is a regular occurrence here. So if you want a peaceful venue for conversation and enjoying the view, go elsewhere.More

Minor comments here.. Had a lovely Breakfast/ Brunch. Food quality was very good(could have been hotter), good service, beautiful location but seriously for $18.00 Eggs Bennie you are going to charge $0.50 for hot sauce???. Its not the cost but the principal! Charge me $18.50...for the Bennie. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Had dinner the same night. Food was good, service was slow and uncaring . Way understaffed. Dining room decor is pretty boring.More

I was told my booking was made to Toronto location and went home and checked my online booking to the devonshire was made. Had I not been persistent I was going to have to wait 2.5 hours. When they pulled up my booking and the...time of the phone call to confirm my reservation they stated that the location details weren't on there. Very poorly organized and put us through unnecessary stress.More

Visiting PEC for the first time we decided to visit the Drake for a brunch before heading back to Toronto. The music was blaring on the patio. It was explained that the system was newly installed and they were waiting for repairs and were unable...to do any adjusting. Our food arrived. Three of us were unable to eat the salt laden burgers and salads. Inedible at best. The forth ordered scones. They were delicious. A lovely patio spoiled.More

Even for covid this place had tons of seating but not much staff to serve so we didn’t get the full treatment. Waits were hour and half we were told but they managed to get us a table up against a wall with the worst...seats (don’t take this table). My back was killing me from waiting and it was hard to see all the empty picnic tables which would have hurt way less. We ordered quickly and after 40 minutes one of the kitchen staff brought our food. We had the classic breakfast which came with bread not buttered so we had to ask. After we were almost done the waitress came over to ask if we wanted ketchup or salt. The breakfast was good and the view is fantastic. Hopefully we will get to experience a lunch or dinner to see how good it could be. For breakfast, there is a huge brewpub across the street with a terrific brunch.More

It was my second visit to the Drake and it was better than the first time! Of course, the view is always the same. It is one of the most beautiful you can have on Lake Ontario, and many other places, for patio dining and...drinks. We were there for dinner. Both of us had the tuna niçoise and it was excellent. One of my friends had the lamb wrap and the other had the burger. We had the duck wings as an appetizer. I also love the fact that almost all their wines are from Prince Edward County. They could maybe add a couple because their list is short but we had great wine from Rosehall. Everything was really good. Last time, the service was so-so, but not this time. From the hostess to the waitress, everyone was very courteous and professional. Having dinner there was really nice. The only downside is that they have a DJ and the music is a bit too loud. I would have loved hearing more of the water sounds than the music, but this is my personal taste. It may not be others who love loud music with their dinner. I highly recommend this place for the food, the service and, of course, the view!More
