We had a such great time at the Lost Anchor!! Firstly, we were immediately greeted by 2 young hosts/ servers with huge smiles and made us feel very welcome. The extensive menu was terrific. We had the spinach dip appetizer, lobster rolls with the summer...salad and Tiramisu and Chocolate/ Nutella brownie for dessert. All the food was delicious and generous portions. The salad and lobster rolls were amazing. Lots of lobster on a fresh roll and the salad had lots of fresh berries and a homemade dressing that I loved. The desserts were excellent and beautifully presented. Others in our group had the fish tacos, dish and chips and they raved about these dishes as well. Our server was awesome. She was attentive and gave thoughtful suggestions about menu options. We wanted to remember this special meal and she happily took the time to take our photo. The atmosphere is bright, beachy, and fun! We Loved the story of the historic “Lost Anchor” on the wall and the actual Anchor on display. Will definitely go back. I hear the sunsets are amazing from the deck and want to try the burger which I hear is to die for. Thank you Lost Anchor for a truly special time!!More

Don’t miss this gem 💎 I was only going to pop in for a beer 🍺 Honestly I hadn’t been impressed with the food in the island so far on my trip and had low expectations. I love mussels and when I saw three different...variations I couldn’t resist. I chose “lost anchor” mussels. Rosemary, bacon, truffle oil, yum! I received a huge bowl with fresh sprigs of rosemary, wide strips of bacon, that formed a creamy broth over tender mussels. I was in heaven and sopped up the remaining broth with bread. Since the mussels were such a hit I had to find out what was for dessert. I love bread pudding, they had bread pudding and yes it was ridiculously good. I smiled the whole walk back to the inn. Don’t miss this delicious restaurant off the main road. They have a nice patio and deck too. Service was friendly and attentive, really lovelyMore

We had a wonderful interaction with Denise, the General Manager last night. We had fish and chips with excellent homemade tartar sauce. The service with perfect and Denise is very charming. Decided to go back this evening for the scallops. It was one of the...best meals I’ve had. I’m from Nova Scotia so I know when I’m getting an expertly cooked scallop. The dinner was complete with golden beets, roasted Brussels sprouts, multi coloured carrots and garlic mashed potatoes. We savoured every morsel. They have also added a curry maple carrot purée recently and it compliments the entire meal. Bravo!!!More

Ordered wings, mussels, and the lobster mac. All three came out bad. Wings were severely overcooked, lobster mac was underdone (almost raw noodles and the beschamel had strands of cheese that weren't even melted) and the missiles came out looking like they were covered in...snot. The mussels also smelt just awful. I don't usually leave reviews, and I wasn't going to, but my wife and I are now experiencing severe food poisoning as a result of eating at this place. Definitely won't be returning. I hope they seriously evaluate the kitchen staff involved in our meal. Absolutely unacceptable. At least the waitress was nice.More

We read the reviews and chose this restaurant based on those reviews. Obviously they were having a bad night and/or were short staffed because there were people waiting and many tables still covered in food, plates etc. There was also food on the floor and...flies everywhere. It was stuffy inside and I feel like the table was cleared quickly with a swipe of a dirty cloth. The food itself was good but not amazing like we had heard. They mixed up our two sandwich orders (wrong chicken on the wrong bun) The fries really were great. We also ordered a pitcher of Sangria that we did not finish. I don’t know what was in it exactly, but certainly hardly any wine. It just tasted like cheap fruit punch. The experience was ok but not spectacular.More

My husband had never been to The Lost Anchor and I had been there only once before with our daughter. Both times were enjoyable. On most recent visit there with my husband, we both ordered the fish and chips. They were excellent - cooked to...perfection! No room for dessert. Thank you Chef McKenna and our server Haley (sp?), was friendly, efficient and just lovely. We each had an alcoholic beverage and with 20% tip, bill was still under $80. Great value for the money and we will return to check out the yummy looking dessert menu!More

Casual environment but really good food and many gluten free options. It’s the first gf /canola free lobster roll that I have had. Seafood chowder was surprisingly good given that the pictures I saw were not impressive but minimal potatoes and thickened with heavy cream.
