Party of 6 adults. We arrived for a late lunch. Our server was very friendly and said they were short staffed that day. We could not believe how quickly our meals arrived. Ample servings of fish and chips, a club sandwich, a clam strip dinner...and an order of fries with the works (which looked amazingly good like poutine plus). Its what it says it is, a family restaurant. Don't go there for fancy go for great food.More

We called from the restaurant and ordered the Pizza with the works . We were told it would be ready in 15 min. So we took a few minutes to explore Rustico and discover some more of its unique beauty. The pizza was ready as...promised and very enjoyable. Well worth the cost.More

This restaurant is separated into three distinct areas. There is a take out area, a dining room and a cafe type room. The menu covers all three rooms. Pizza is a good option and the toppings are plentiful on the pizza. The seafood is fresh...and portions are plentiful. The atmosphere is friendly and casual.More

A group of us selected the BY THE BAY FAMILY RESTAURANT in North Rustico after we visited the local flea market. We all had variations of bacon, eggs, and trimmings. It was busy when we arrived and waited about as few minutes for our coffee,...but once we ordered, the food was served fairly quickly and tasted good. I would definitely return here if I am ever in the area again.More

The food here is good for anyone on the run. The surroundings are diner like. The staff is friendly.

Stopped at the By the Bay twice for breakfast while we vacationed in North Rustico and both times left happy with our meals. Food was good as was the service. But we were going to go back for an early dinner of Lobster rolls only...to find the restaurant closed. Later found out from the owners of the cottage we were renting that the By the Bay owner is older and pretty independent and often closes up if it gets too hot in the kitchen, which was the case at least twice during the week we were in PEI. But, other than that, we can't say anything bad about the food, price, service, etc. We would go back again - at least for breakfast.More

Visited here a couple of weeks ago and had the best fish and chips I've had for a very long time. Cooked fresh and to perfection. The service was excellent, quality produce and not too expensive. Worth a try!

Service was efficient and fast, our grand children were hungry. The lobster roll was good. The menu was short.

Glad I found this place I wanted a lobster dinner but didn’t want one for 50.00 or more and this place had it and more. The staff is very friendly and the prices are decent. Definitely going back

My family and I ate here for breakfast on a lazy Monday morning. The menu was about as boring as can be. Breakfast options included eggs, sausage/bacon and toast. I ordered the most exciting thing I could see - a ham and cheese omelette. It...was fine. All the food was cooked okay and no one complained. But for $75 for a family of 5, I was as underwhelmed as I've ever been. Should have stayed home and made toast. That's all.More
