My wife and I had lunch at the Lobster Barn and thoroughly enjoyed it! The location is right on a dock, with a few tables in a screened-in porch. We ate inside, where the decor is nautical and bright. I had the fish tacos, which...were served with a house salad. The fish in the tacos was nicely done with a light batter. The salsa was very fresh and tasty. There was a light cilantro creme that added a nice flavor. The house salad was made up of tasty mixed greens, cucumbers, and tomatoes with a vinaigrette dressing. My wife had their blueberry salad with lobster. The salad was delicious, with luscious local greens, blueberries, and oranges, with a raspberry vinaigrette. There was a generous amount of tasty local lobster. The service was also good. Highly recommend!More

Located at the boat docks - see the live catch being unloaded. Always busy but worth the wait. Menu variety suits all types.

Had a great lobster roll at the lobster barn. Great place to eat if you’re visiting Victoria. Lobster is a Market price and the Lobster roll is worth it. 100% will make this place a staple to my PEI trips when coming off the confederation...bridgeMore

Since this restaurant is known for its lobster rolls, I felt that should be what I ordered. A wise choice, although the "market price" for lobster rolls and fries at this time is $29, a bit of a shock. Nonetheless, the rolls were great and...the fries are incredibly good. My wife had the same with a salad on the side, and very much enjoyed her meal. Lots of staff at 3 pm in the afternoon, and at that time no reservation was needed. Service was excellent. A fine part of our day visit to Victoria on the Sea.More

Been coming here every summer when visiting family. It used to be a favourite for lobster roll with potato salad. This year no potato salad option and the classic lobster roll was smaller and the homemade mayonnaise was not the same! Option of sweet potato...fries, they were greasy mush. Servers are excellent, hope they go back to the original recipes!More

It was busy, reservations recommended. Fish and salad - both excellent, service was good as were the mojitos. My partner had dessert, a bread pudding, he said it was really great but would ask for a bit of ice cream on the side next time.

I had heard the Lobster Barn was under new mgmt and the local reviews were not good. I decided to check it out for myself. I tried the "original' lobster roll and it was as the PEI locals described -- not very good. This was...my 4th Lobster Roll tasting in the last 10 days and it was by far the least likeable. On PEI, Lobster Rolls, especially in a place called Lobster Barn, should have fresh lobster -- not frozen. I spoke with the server about it being frozen and she played dumb. The sister restaurant to the Lobster Barn is awesome -- the chef needs to take extra care at the Lobster Barn - in past years one could not get in there without waiting - tonight it was 50% full.More

Great atmosphere and very accommodating for our large family group! A variety of dishes ordered .... mussels, lobster rolls, fish tacos and the seafood chowder. Everything was outstanding and the service was excellent despite our large group.

This was fabulous - we only had a round of drinks and shared the lobster poutine. On the recommendation of the manager and she was right! Great flavour, very saucy (not my desire but my husband was thrilled). Highly recommend.

The Lobster Barn was a little out of our way as we finished our short time on PEI however it was well worth the detour. We hadn't planned ahead and didn't have a reservation but were welcomed by the fabulous staff and immediately give a...table. Our waitress was a delight and helped us decide what to get kindly dissuading us from over-ordering which is a real risk with us! We both were delighted with our lobster rolls which as you can see were generously filled. Our lattice fries were another winner and utterly fabulous. The restaurant was absolutely charming and decorated very stylishly. My wife enjoyed herself so much she ended up buying a Lobster Barn jumper!More

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and it had such good reviews we actively sought it out in this very small town of Victoria By The Sea. Next time - make a reservation! Visited midweek with family (and a surly toddler in tow). We did...not have a reservation but as it was just 5pm we squeezed in at a table at the front of the restaurant with help from the hostess on duty. Things just got better from there. Our server, Maura, was exceptional. Sensing we had already had a long day, she managed to make everything easy breezy by making a few recommendations that we took her up on. We ordered the traditional lobster dinner (MP) and lobster grilled cheese (MP) as well as a local Pilsner (so tasty we found a PEI liquor store on the way home) that was very tasty. Would absolutely visit again, and look forward to doing so.More

My wife and I spend 4 days on the Island at nearby Canoe Cove. We went to Victoria ny the Sea and were planning on a different restaurant. We looked at the menu here and decided it sounded good. I had tge lobster dinner special....1 1/12 lbs of fresh steamed lobster. Served with a great potato salad and coleslaw. My wife had the fish tacos. Pan seared haddock with a pico di gaio and lime crema. Portions were generous and servers were awesome. For our last day we deciddd to go back. Today we split the waffle fry nachos. Tons of toppings and lots of cheese. I had the lobster roll with warmed melted butter...the bread always makes a lobster roll and it did. Jammed with lobster meat in a toasted soft roll...huge side salad wirh their vinegrette. My wife had the Calamari Salad. Big bowl of greens and veg and lots of tender lightly breaded calmari. We normally do not have dessert but we had to hear what they had. It sounded good but one of the cakes came with a homemade maple ice cream with bourbon candied bacon. I asked if we could just have the ice cream and they happily said yes. What a treat. The ice cream had a gelato consistency and wasn't overly sweet. The candied bacon pushed it over the top.More

The new lobster roll with garlic and tarragon was great! I love mayo, so I got a side of their house made garlic on the side, it paired perfectly with the roll. My husband had the lobster and grilled cheese sandwich, wow! I was not...expecting such a large serving, it was 3 slices of sourdough bread, 3 different cheese and lots of lobster, would have either of these things again, actually might go back for fish tacos tomorrow, they also looked amazing.More

Under new management the lobster roll is flavourless, (probably not fresh lobster, if you can imagine, on PEI) and very expensive. Won't do that again.
