Popped in for lunch enroute to Carlton-sur-Mer. The lunch menu is limited to soup, quiche, salads and sandwiches. Full cooked meals are available at supper time. We enjoyed the seafood soup and the shrimp sandwich. Everything was fresh and flavourful. The dining room was spotless and very comfortable. Enjoyed chatting briefly with the proprietor. Would love to revisit in the future for supper.

Easy to miss on the highway, but nice to spot at for a meal. We had the Poke Bol - good, and the Guedille Homard (Lobster Roll) - good with a generous amount of lobster. Friendly service.

We happened upon this Restaurant and couldnt have been happier! After a long days drive, we were hungry. The hostess was friendly and gracious. The restaurant is a cozy spot just off the main road besides the water. There was an excellent choice of freshly caught of fish. Our meals were delicious. Actually, possibly the best of our 2 week trip! What made this spot even more charming is that they had no wine list! That is beause you can bring in your own wine! We just happened to have a bottle in the car! And there was no corkage

My family and I ate at the Poissonnerie du Pêcheur and had an excellent time and meal! I would recommend to have some fish and/or sea food! I would also suggest this restaurant for anyone in the area who's looking for a delicious meal to feast and enjoy on!

It is a seasonal restaurant that has a fish market inside. The outside appearance might be disappointing, It look like an old house turned into a fish market and restaurant. The excellent service and the atmosphere is really country what you find in a old house with a lot of separate rooms. It is good if you like privacy with your friends. Bring your wine is a must. The food is fresh and excellent. The service is very good and the waitresses are very helpful. You never know, you might be served by the owner. Reservation is recommended if you can.

Open less than 6 months a year, during the fishing seasons. You will be treated to the best fish and seafood prepared from old local recipes and served with a big smile and the occasional local story. You can also purchase your fish and/or seafood to go, professionally packaged for the long haul, as well as local products. The staff is friendly and always accommodating. Be sure you make a reservation as it is always packed.

The town is situated on water, but there was absolutely no fresh fish at this specialized sea food shop. My grocery store far from the ocean has a SIGNIFICANTLY better choice of sea products. Not impressed!

Great place you can sample fish and before leaving buy the fresh fish at market inside the restaurant and take it home. Its right one of the nicest campgounds we've come across- Camping Carleton sur mer.

After reading the reviews of this restaurant, I really expected something exceptional. In my opinion, it was just OK at best. I ordered the cod tongues and cheeks, but they were out of the cheeks. Had it anyway. It came fried, as did all the fish dishes except the seafood, with a choice of potatoes and "seasonal" vegetables. We were there beginning of September send the vegetable was carrots. With all the produce still it's prime right now, I think they could have done better than that! My husband ordered fish as well but they were out of his preferred fish and had to settle for something else. Again fried, with potato and carrots. I ordered their appetizer special which was garlic shrimp au gratin. Again it was ok but when we got the bill, it cost $8 for the 6 shrimp. I found that expensive for a special! The dessert was nothing to write home about either. All in all, maybe I was disappointed because of the great accolades others had given it but I would not return. The biggest positive was that you could bring your own wine.
