The vegetarian omelette, home fries, homemade toast and jam hit the spot!! An excellent menu to try at all meal settings. During prime tourist season, book in advance or come early. You won’t be disappointed! Debbie Lee, New Richmond

The options are not wide but the chicken was so yummy. Wonderful server and beautiful location...I just wish that they had DIET coke. Lol
Loved the view over the rose bushes and to the sea. I went in low season and the place was almost empty. The service was awesome... The super friendly, bilingual woman who chatted, gave me suggestions and treated me like a friend. Food was great...- had salmom tartar and the Scallops & Gnocchi which was devine! Make sure to try a glass of the local rhubarb wine.More
Long story short: get reservations. The wait staff will work hard and they will avoid eye contact with anyone. Don’t get offended, it’s not you. They just want to finish everything they need to do before addressing you. They know you are there and they...aren’t ignoring you. It’s just that they won’t serve you till they are ready. The waitress spoke English. Everyone was nice and polite. It’s a busy place. Things seem to quiet down by 8:00 pm so better service is provided then. Food was fine. The children enjoyed their cheddar cheese pasta. The homemade smoked salmon and bouillabaisse were nice. None of the dishes were too rich or salty.More
Great service and great food on my first visit. On our second visit, had to wait more than 30 minutes to get a second capuccino. On our third visit, came in a bit before 10:55. Waited and waited for someone to come take our order....At 11:30 someone finally came just to tell us they served breakfast up to 11:00.More
We enjoyed this little spot after a walk to the pier. the coffee was amazing and the service at the counter was great.
A very friendly and competent staff. The food was very good and beyond reproach. We look forward to going back.
Cafe Acadien just doesn't quite make it. The view is more of parked cars than the water. The prices are a bit high. The food is decent but not imaginative or special. And the menu selections at lunch are far too limited.
Went for Dinner and had a bouillabaise. Taste was good, but I expected just that bit more seafood in it.
The restaurant was crowded most likely with the clients of the nearby camping place. When we asked more explanation about the menu, we were looked at as if we were complete idiots...I was surprised...no non Canadian tourists in Bonaventure? When we only ordered 1 glass...of wine instead of a bottle and declined dessert (not much choice) the waitress rolled her eyes...then she was surprised the tip was less then she expected? Giving a good tip is not a rule, but what you receive for good service and making tourists feel at home...big failure..More
