Was here a couple of nights ago. Very casual folksy bistro - don't let the website fool you. It is a 10 minute walk (if that) from the Fairmount and down a couple of flights of which are well lit and sign-posted. Concierge will guide...More

This tiny restaurant has a charming setting near the water and is a tiny and very old house. The waitress was ultra friendly and very helpful and always had a smile. The food was very good with some interesting twists. Everything was cooked to perfection...More

The four of us enjoyed the calm atmosphere in this cute, small restaurant, and the food was good - though I would not say that it was outstanding. Service was also very good. It is worth a visit.

Yup I went in to the (small) kitchen after the meal and just felt that good about our evening. We were in La Malbaie for 4 nights so ate at many of the restaurants in and around town. This one was the best by far....More

We continue to be impressed with La Malbaie and the excellent choices for restaurants. La Patriarche is no exception. A quaint location on the St. Lawrence, across from the station and quay on a small strip of restaurants and shops. The food was very good...More

I was so excited to discover this place. It is in an old house - very small with a limited number of tables (so reserve in advance if you go). It is on the quai, just down the hill from the Fairmont hotel (but a...More

From the friendly owner and staff to the rich family history on the walls of this quaint house, dining at Bistro Le Patriarche feels like going home to a five star bistro. Then there's the food. The soup: pureed rutabaga, carrots, and celery root finished...More

Delicious food beautifully presented. Lovely staff. Nice view of the river. My lamb chops were exceptional, as was my dessert of 3 flavors of creme brûlée.

We had one of the best meals of our trip at Le Patriarche! The restaurant is really cute, in a little 19th century house right near the water (with beautiful views of the river!). You have to reserve because it's a small kitchen and they...More

If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would! Absolutely amazing food. They stagger the reservations so that the kitchen is never overwhelmed and service divine. I had the smoked lamb consommé with truffled ravioli as my starter and I'm still dreaming about it....More
