We had some tasty dishes but the reason we have not rated it higher was that it was a very “functional” dining experience. It was fine and there was nothing particular to criticise about the service, but there was nothing special about it either.More

An absolutely highlight of our week in La Malbaie, we actually ended up going a second time. Service was highly attentive and professional, food was fantastic and authentic, and wine list extensive. Not the cheapest meal but definitely worth it for the experience and quality.

We loved the ambiance, food and our waiter was helpful and funny. I had the Osso Boco dish, it was delicious. The rest of the gang were also impressed with their meals. The wine selection was quite complete. Very good table D’Hote menus at reasonable...prices. Would highly recommend a visitMore

You would think thatbeing in a heritage house, with superb wait staff and a very enjoyable decor but most importantly with an envious reputation, that the food would have been better than it actually was. Our fellow diners complained about the paucity of vegetables, the...stringiness of the beef and the general lack of good taste that accompanies a $62,00 meal + wine and service. That wasn't the case nor the comments from my fellow diners. It's too bad. Maybe it was an off night, maybe we were difficult and expecting too much but the reputation was there, the meal just wasn'tMore

Thank you for having chosen our restaurant and for your comment. We appreciate that. For the lamb, I think you were misinfomed. After the service, a new waitress tell me she told customer the lamb is braised, but it is not, it is a piece...More

Although in the context of COVID, the restaurant managed to maintain a cosy environment. The chef cooks fine meals based on local ingredients, in particular organic meat. The menu is organized in Table d’hôte, but each course can be taken à la carte. The Big...Table d’hôte is priced at 62$, but a lot of courses comes with an extra from 5 to 15$, which reduces the value of this formula in my opinion, since it puts the bar a bit too high. Our waiter was very friendly, but unfortunately made too many mistakes for this level of restaurant. I hope it was contextual rather than usual.More
