The food was really good - particularly the crispy pork belly appetizer! The server was also very efficient and attentive. Although we didn’t sit there, the view from the terrace overlooking the water looked really nice. Highly recommend!

We asked our inn about waterside seating, and she said the only place was Allegro. While the water is visible, what you’re really looking at is a parking lot, and then the road, and then the water. So don’t expect a waterside restaurant. Our waitress...was excellent. We do not speak French and she did not speak English, but she was an excellent communicator, and very patient with us! The food was blah. Decidedly not fresh. Like everything was prefabricated, purchased in bags from a grocery store, left on the counter awhile, and then plated. The sauces for the calimari were delicious. (Much better than the calimari itself.). That’s it for excellent, or even very good. For an area known for its food, decidedly disappointing. The thumping disco music did nothing to enhance our dinner.More
Had dinner last night (Nov 16). Appetizer of Calamari was good. Main courses of veal in lemon with mushrooms and side of pasta. Veal was tasty and tender, the pasta was excellent with an amazing mild sauce. My wife had the fish and chips which...was plentiful, not greasy and just the right amount of batter. For desert we shared the home made ice cream - excellent ! You get a small helping of all three flavours, vanilla, chocolate and maple. Marc was our waiter Nd was excellent, with great attitude and customer service, very attentive and just the right amount of humour. I would definitely recommend this place - in fact we will be returning before our trip is over.More
Fantastic food, and the service was excellent! We had Mark as a waiter, and he was by far the best waiter we have ever had. He was punctual, friendly and also bilingual which was a big plus. I would eat here again just because of...how great Mark was. Highly recommend!More
Sometimes when you are in a small community one thinks that nothing extraordinary will happen. This is one of the best restaurants we have ever dined in. The venue was lovely. The menu comprehensive. I e joyed the best penne arrabbiata ever. My partner devoured...the smoked salmon pizza. I addition we had this wonderful server Kathy. She was so personable, knowledgeable, funny, service oriented without being intrusive. Plus as my partner would say, she was a redhead. Our experience there was first class from seating to leaving. Highly recommend.More
Great beer selection, wonderful food. I loved my migneron cheese with confit de canard pizza, our friend said it was one of the best lasagnas he ever ate…and he is a lasagna connaisseur! Their home-made trio of ice creams hit the spot for dessert! Our...server was very experienced, professional and friendly.More
Be sure to reserve! Parking is in the back, but they ran out when we arrived… we parked on the street. This is a busy area — leave yourself enough time. Service was excellent, the dining room offered a casual atmosphere and comfortable seating, and...there were plenty of food options. I had the fish and chips and my husband had pasta — both were quite enjoyable! We would return if in the area.More
Delicious food and amazing service! The ambiance was great and the restaurant has a great location by the river. A big special thanks to our waitress Kathy for the amazing night! :)
This restaurant very kindly was able to accommodate us 20 minutes before they closed. Our server Lea was very friendly and made a great effort to communicate with us in English! All the food was excellent, given that service was almost at the end of...the night and the portions were more than we could ask for. The steak frites was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the fries were crispy. The shrimp pasta was loaded with shrimp and tasted amazing. The lobster ravioli had a strong lobster flavor. The maple creme brulee was the perfect end to our meal. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in La Malbaie!More
We were referred by a friend to Resto Allegro and we’re extremely satisfied with our diner. Started with Panko Shrimp which were cooked to perfection. Followed by the Rib diner which melted in your mouth and an amazing mi-cuit for dessert ❤️❤️❤️. Our waitress Kathy...was the best! If we go back to the Malbaie area again, we will definitely dine there again. Maria, Montréal-QcMore

Great views of the St-Lawrence, if you have a table on that side. The food is quite good and service is efficient. Good wine selection
Thank you very much for your comment! We look forward to welcoming you soon
This restaurant has great Italian food ! Great service ! Great view ! And ask For Kathy! She will take very good care of you! Awesome restaurant for a relaxed dinner with your other half or friends!
Nice dinner, very good prime rib and stuffed ravioli. Service was good and carrot cheesecake was good.
This feels more like a bar than a restaurant - it's noisy and crowded, and the food (mostly Italian with some Tex-Mex) is okay but not more than that. Service is efficient without being friendly.
