Best poutine in town

Chez Veilleux is a combination of family restaurant, pool hall, and bar. It's smack down in the middle of the downtown area of La Malbaie and is a favorite local hangout. There are a lot of habitués stopping by and not a whole lot of foreigners. Which, come to think of it, is what makes this place special. If you're looking for an authentic eating experience, this has got to be the place to check out. Nothing fancy, nothing special, just tasty comfort food and junk food classics. A few members of the staff working at the nearby hostel recommended that I check it out if I wanted to taste the best poutine in La Malbaie. So I went there and the poutine was indeed quite good. Not sure just how tourist friendly Chez Veilleux is if you don't speak French, but do give it a shot if you want an option better than the McD's. Service was fast and friendly. Exactly what you'd expect from a family restaurant.
