Very good pastry made by Marie Eve. The bread is made by the owner, a Breton baker. I also took a chamomile infusion. Lots of choices of coffee beans to grind on site depending on the coffee maker you use at home (Italian, filter, etc.). I wish there was a good selection of infusions too. You can eat in or take away.

The best croissants in the province of Quebec. I was a local here in Montmagny for almost one year (I used to work there for a while). Sometimes, I went to this lovely café to work from there. They serve delicious soups for lunch, as well as many bakery treats that you cannot resist trying, I dare you! My favorites: almond croissants and macarons. The coffee is also delicious. And crepes, of course, for breakfast or even for lunch (with vegetables). I highly recommend this place.

Very adorable café in a small town. Stopped in for breakfast en route to NS from Quebec. Crepes were great. Also ordered an almond croissant and macarons- both good too! They're not joking about the lattes being served in bowls :) Hope to visit again!

We arrived just as the doors were being opened and the awning was being unrolled. The young lady opening looked serious and we thought, maybe this isn't going to be a great place for some westcoast anglophones to be trying out their terrible french.... What a fabulous little gem this cafe turned out to be! Our server was friendly and chatty -and spoke much better english than we spoke french. Obviously a popular place with the locals, we had many suggestions on what to try. We settled on the buckwheat crepes, croissants with jam, and toast with jam. Really enjoyed it all - and the coffee was delicious. It was a great experience and we really appreciated how welcomed we were made to feel!

Car travel is a Canadian summer institution and thousands traverse along Hwy 20 on the south shore of the St. Lawrence. Next time when you are breakfast close to Montmagny take the exit and slip north to find the Boulangerie Patisserie L'Epi d'Or Cafe Breton. The coffee is good (make sure you ask for a double if you get the cafe au lait) and nothing like a Breton crepe with Toulouse sausage or local ham plus cheese to make you say adios to Tim's. Then stroll along the main street and marvel at the Elvis music playing speakers. Drop into Chez Joes Epicier for some local cheese and home made pate. Then on the road again. Guaranteed to be feeling much better!

Great little French-style cafe for bread and pastries. We were there for breakfast. They specialize in buckwheat crepes. I had toasted bread and croissants with homemade raspberry preserves. Yum. Good coffee too.

If you are a coffee lover you will love this place. The expresso and cappuccino are excellent. Their pastries are among the best we have everhad and we have been around. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good service. Excellent.
