We were recommended this spot from our hotel. It was a lovely dinner . The restaurent itself is very rustic in a Auberge .

My husband and I dined here last week. We were a little apprehensive as the restaurant was not busy. That’s where our apprehension ended. The food was fantastic. We had the scallops to start. My husband had the grilled octopus and I had the risotto....The presentation was lovely. The chef who is so creative came to our table to explain the dishes we ordered. Chef is only 23 years old but so creative. I highly recommend dining here.More
We had a nice dinner here on a weekend trip to the Eastern Townships. Delightful burrata and scallops to start, mains were some very interesting pork ribs and very tender octopus. Rusty country inn feel, great terrace if the weather is good. Friendly front of...house staff and the chef was kind enough to pop out and visit his customers towards the end of dinner.More
We enjoyed a number of very nice meals while we were in Sutton; this was definitely NOT one of them. The service was slow, inattentive, and indifferent. No one came around to ask if we needed anything or if we were enjoying our meals, and...no one questioned why several people in our group left their meals uneaten on the plates. The soup was cold and tasteless, and both the chicken and the congealed pasta were inedible. There were very few wines available by the glass. The Dixieland Jazz was very good, but I didn't appreciate the aggressive pressure to tip, especially when I couldn't see the musicians from behind the pillar where I was seated. This was a most disappointing experience.More
Bonjour Mrs H. I believe your husband wrote a review on Google on the 31st about your experience in my establishment, which I answered yesterday. Your review today on Tripadvisor make me think that my response displeased you, which wasn't my intention. Thank you for...More
Our family's second visit here was equally impressive. Excellent French food, beautifully presented and savored by everyone at our table. Atmosphere is cozy, relaxing, and intimate.
Granted, there are not many restaurants in Sutton, but we expected more given that this is rated #5 and generally had good reviews. The service was fair, but given that it was not busy, should have been much better. Especially given the prices, expected better...food- while not bad, it was just mediocre. Had to request bread three times and considering this is French cuisine would have expected a fresh, warm, flavorful baguette, but it was none of those.More
What a refreshing change, to see the chef come out of the kitchen to greet every customer at each table. This man will go far! Not only a great personality and superb work ethic. He is also one amazing chef! Even a simple tomato carpaccio...was the tastiest dish. We will be back! Soon!More
Cute and cozy restaurant. Our food was absolutely delicious. Restaurant was pretty empty but it may be only because it is quiet season. Highly recommend for a good meal and great service :)
Every dish served is presented with an artist's hand--from its farm-to-table salad to its lamb, and to its upside-down pear pie with a scoop of ice cream on top. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time.
Unexpected Dinning experience We stayed at the Auberge des Appalaches over the weekend of the 3th to 5th of August 2018. Friday night we where a group of over twenty guest dinning in there dinning room. As a professional chef I was totally surprised by...the talent of the chef witch served us a meal I never expected. Presentation, taste, price and the recherche the chef had done told me that's a rear chef witch likes his profession. I mast add that all the food was well chosen local product presented in a very up to date pleasure for eye and pallet. Anton Koch ccc/cciMore
