We called in here after visiting the canyon. Food was ok but service let them down. Twice they got the wrong menu choice.

Very rushed wait staff, but lunch time buffet was excellent. Good choices on a la carte menu, too. Better for lunch than for breakfast.
Went here with my family. The buffet was clean and offers a varied amount of dishes and desserts. There was a marimba band playing which was a nice amenity.
Nice open restaurant. Best in town, but food was not excellent. Buffet, so you can get a taste of everything. Some dishes were flavorless, but many options.
We stopped in for drinks and a snack after our tour up the Canyon Sumidero. The service was friendly and the location is very good, a nice view over the river and some of the market area. We ordered the guacamole, it was excellent. I...would come back here in a heartbeat.More
It’s a buffet for almost 300 pesos which is expensive in Chiapas and the food is just OK. I don’t know who gave them 5 stars
I asked for the buffet and I was disappointed, the flavor was not what I expected, because from 10 different dishes I tried, only one (baked little pork) was delicious. I do not like buffets that are mediocre, and this is one of the team....Not recommended based on my experience!More
All the experience was terrible, i mean, the buffet was bad, the foor overly greasy the "cochito horneado" extremely dry, i think i got sick from this place, the water sugary af, and the service with the tip of the toe.
This restaurant (09.00-18.00 only) is als frequented by locals and is a good place to try local food: They have a buffet which serves local meat specialties, soups, salads, pizza and Spaghetti - Vegetarians should probably order à la carte because for them this it...not a good deal. Lemonade and soft drinks are included in the buffet price. This is good, homemade food - you will find more refined food and elsewhere in Mexico, but for Chiapa de Corso this is one of the best choices (we have been here three days). As in most Mexican restaurants, no English spoken, but otherwise excellent service.More
We had lunch here as part of our tour. The buffet looked very attractive and therefore we opted for an upgrade - so we could eat what we liked - and yes, we were very happy with our choice. A wide variety of well prepared...dishes - where you just can choose what you fancy. Yummy! And it included desserts as well :-).More
