Friends of ours from Morelia always eat here and so we do too. The central plaza in Patzcuaro is ringed with cafes and restaurants and it's bit hard to choose. Like many places El Patio has indoor and streetside eating. The inside is whimsically decorated with bird cages and plaited straw objects. The food is usual Mexican cafe fare with... More

While visiting Patzcuaro we went to El Patio Restaurant twice, breakfast was very good, the freshly made corn tortillas were awesome. The cafe capuccino was exactly what I was expecting, wait staff was very courteous, made sure we had everything we needed. Was very affordable $$$$

We ate dinner here on Christmas Day. The lady who took our reservation was very nice. The waiter who served us was slow and surly and never cracked a smile or came to ask how our meal was. Had to order my daughters drink three times. Too bad as the food was very good.

My husband and I ate dinner here twice. We especially enjoyed the pork chops and fish tacos. The beet and walnut salad is outstanding. The flan is a bit heavy for my liking. The waiters are very attentive.

This probably is the best choice for a good restaurant in Patzcuaro, we went to la lupita because it was recommended, big mistake, service was horrible food was just ok and no credit cards. El patio does take CC, food was priced under $10 USD mostly $170 MXP we ordered filtete mignon and arracheras patio meat was tender and soft,... More

Fast service, good food. Very typical "holiday town" type restaurant. Caters primarily to foreigners so food is good, but uneventful. Overall a good experience, fast and fresh food amidst a celebration of their long departed ancestors (Noche de los Muertos)

Ate here three times as the atmosphere, service, and food were above average. A comfortable but warm and home style atmosphere. Service was excellent and meals about $10 U.S. dollars.

Have eaten here on may occasions over the years while visiting Patzcuaro. The service has always been very good and the food tasty and excellent local tastes. The tradional Mexican Food is excellent. On of he best over the years.. Will always include El Patio when we visit.

The service was fast, attentive, the food arrived on time. (Sat on the terrace) The appetizer bread was fresh, the two salsas that came with it were very light on chili, and quite tasty. The sopa tarasca was excellent, really enjoyed it. The tampiquena was very mediocre, the meat was tough, the rice and the beans kinda cold, the guacamole... More
