This place is incredible. For those looking for a fancier meal, right on the beach (feet in sand), this is the experience for you. And the food was amazing. Four of us were there for New Year's Eve dinner...it was a fixed menu with a choice of 5 different entrees. Two went with the local catch (red snapper), another with... More

We loved the casual beachy vibe of this cozy restaurant just north of Akumal. Beautiful moonlit views of the beach from our outdoor table for four. Don't let the condo location mislead you- this place serves sophisticated and delicious food and has excellent service. Good cocktails, great wine, appetizers, dinner and dessert all delicious. I had filet of beef, perfectly... More

This place stands out above the normal fare in akumal. Small but very pleasant great location. The lunch is great but the dinner menu is to die for had the salmon and coconut prawns and also the sashimi octopus. Went here about 4 times and aways good. Its more upscale than La Bueno Vida (which is good too) but they're... More

This is the highest-end restaurant in Half Moon Bay, in my opinion. And has been for 15 years. Preparing and plating food is truly an art form for the cooks at La Lunita. My husband and I started out sitting at a beach side table but the waiters seamlessly moved us into the covered patio when there was a sudden... More

Love this place. Great menu and ambiance, dining with your feet in the sand. Attentive, friendly staff and if you're lucky a chance to see turtles arriving or hatching.

The ambience is to die for, the food is yummy and the staff are great!!! Went there twice in our 7 day stay. On our first night, we had cocktails, apps (soft shell crab, ceviche, and tuna wrapped with octopus), a bottle of wine and a steak for my son. Our bill was $79! Where in the States could you... Sure, we went here initially because it was right next door to our Mirage condo and we'd checked in late, but we went back four more times because we loved the local cuisine (OMG the coconut shrimp were so huge and fresh, we even ordered them takeout!). We also had their special Christmas Eve dinner, which was luxurious and delicious.... More

One of the most spectacular settings, right on the beach with the sounds and sights of the Caribbean providing a great backdrop. The owner is always searching for new and more exciting foods to present to her loyal fan base. I have been coming here for 10 years now and have never been disappointed. I appreciate how the menu is... More

Food was cold but we went on a slow night. Was a very romantic setting and great location. Service was great. Walking distance to most akumal hotels and seemed very safe.

We celebrated a family member's 40th birthday last month in Akumal. I made reservations a week before and I was allowed to select the table and the staff asked if there was anything special I wanted to order for our celebration. I looked at the menu and was happy with the choices but I did ask if they could get... More
