Food so-so but service and view awesome

We had breakfast — chilaquiles which were way too salty, french toast (white bread) had too much raw sugar sprinkled on top. The pancakes, eggs, and bacon were ok. Huevos ranchera was good. Atmosphere and service were lovely.

AMAZING Shrimp Ceviche

Our tour guide recommended this spot we shared both the Shrimp Ceviche and Coconut Shrimp. (My wife says the best Coconut Shrimp she's ever had)

average food great loacation

the view and location is great. service and crew friendly and good at what they do. food was ok, a little pricey but worth the visit. went back again for a late brekfast. glad its there and hopefully will stay there. Akumal has changed during...the 30 years of our visits. the turtle thing is out of control and the new resorts have ruined a once comfortable and cool spot. hundreds of groups destroying a natural turtle zone is hard to witness. shame on government proclaiming it to be a nature protection area. anyway, Lol-Ha is appreciated.More

A new favorite place for me!!

Beautiful setting and absolutely delicious food! Waiters and servers were friendly, and food was priced reasonably. Loved my birthday dinner at this place!! I will be back in September!!

Wonderful service, beautiful view and beach, and great food!

My mother and I ate here and swam at their beach last week and had a great experience! The food was super fresh and authentic, and the oceanfront view cannot be beat. The manager, David, was super kind and helpful. He made sure we were...comfortable and had everything we needed when we went out to the beach for a swim. As good as always

I’ve lived near Akumal for over 20 years, the Lol-Ha is as good as always. It’s hard to beat the view and the food is fresh and delicious.

Great seafood after a day at Akumal Bay!

We ate here after a sunset sail in Akumal Bay. The food and service was excellent. And the desserts were very good. All of us had seafood and it was delicious.

Happy Hour

Staying at HAC and came for Happy Hour. Drinks were delicious and strong. My vegetarian fajita was scrummy . Loved the band so much that I even danced. Expected it to be very touristy but enjoyed the ambiance food drink and music overlooking the sea...very much! Recommended!More

Touristy

I thought this place would have pretty average food, right on the beach with a lot of tourists. I was wrong. The food was so good and the cocktails were strong! We loved it here. If I had been staying in Akumal I would have...come again. Facing the ocean is beautiful too!More

Akumal 2023

Definitely worth a visit when in Akumal. Excellent food, atmosphere and service. I personally recommend the Akumal IPA and the Shrimp tacos we’re probably one of my favourite dishes out by of my two week vacation.

A local gem

Attended a rehearsal dinner for a wedding and it was terrific. They easily served 60 guests and the food was delicious. It is in a very pretty spot on Akumal Bay. We enjoyed so much we went back for dinner with friends and had the...same good experience.More

Lol Ha Beach Bar is Fantástico!!

Got to Akumal after a tiring day if travel. Didn’t even bother to unpack, threw some shorts and flip flops on and headed to the beach bar for some tacos al pastor, ceviche and drinks. The bar crew are the bomb. Oscar, Alberto, Ronaldo and...Rafi are always on point with their service even when they are really busy. A few Sol’s for the hubby and a dirty monkey or two for me and all was right with the world. I’m on the beach writing this and the aroma from the food is enticing me for an early dinner…can’t wait!! The beach bar rocks!!More
