We stopped here with our small tour group after visiting the Mayan ruins. We were taken to the upstairs section of the restaurant, which looks like it is designed to cater more to tour groups. This is where the buffet is. Options at the buffet included different salads, some pork and chicken options, rice and beans, soup, and home-made tortillas. The food was pretty good - I certainly went up for seconds. Some of the items had a nice spicy kick. The view of Laguna Coba from the second floor is quite nice as well. Overall it is a nice spot to stop if you are hungry after touring the ruins.

Had delicious lunch at Le Piramide, overlooking the lake, close to the Coba ruins. My delicious Caesar salad included separate portions of chicken, tomatoes, avocado, and lettuce. Others enjoyed their meal as well. Separate shops around the corner for browsing for gifts.

We have been looking for an authentic cousine and La Piramide had it all. Great choice of the food, beautiful almost mystical ambiance with a view of Coba piramide, amazing staff.. The restaurant also has an artizan store which I highly recommend. - Bought many presents to friends and family there. if I am back I will definitely visit again !!!

Went as part of a tour, crowded, no social distancing... no free water. Sick of this place... I never wrote scathing reviews, but this place is something. The person making tortillas was missing and came after 15 mins after our lunch.

Convenient stop if you are at the Coba ruins. However, the food is very generic and slightly bland. Drinks were pretty watered down.

Our private tour group to the Coba ruins stopped here for lunch after the cenote swim. We were very hungry and very satisfied after a wonderful authentic lunch. The chicken was fantastic with homemade tortillas, rice and beans and dessert. Everyone had seconds. Nice open air seating with a view of the lagoon.

We stopped in for lunch at this restaurant on a Sunday after visiting the ruins. They were offering a lunch buffet for $10.00 USD/person, but the choices did not look very appealing to us so we ordered off the menu. My husband ordered the lime/chicken soup and he liked it very much. I had the gaspacho soup and it was delish. It was spicier than traditional Spanish gaspacho, and on a hot day it really hit the spot. Our entrees were tasty too, and the portion size was good. There were not many choices for vegetarians. As a vegetarian, the quesadillas were about the only entree available for me other than salads.

We stopped in this restaurant which is near the Coba Ruins. You can sit out on the terrace and have a beautiful view of Lake Coba.

The atmosphere is beautiful, right on lake Coba. Perfect place for a sunset. Only problem--the margaritas don't have anything in them but salty ice. I'm pretty sure there was not a drop of Tequila in our margaritas, or anything else except salty crushed ice and water.

Authentic local food in a neat setting overlooking the "lake;" a perfect place to rest after walking around the ruins. The Aztec chicken soup, guacamole, coffee, all very good. Be careful in the adjacent gift shop. We got ripped off.

I've eaten at this restaurant several times during visits to the Coba ruins, but forgot to write them a review. After walking around the ruins for a few hours this is a great place to relax, drink and eat. The drinks are nice and cold and the food has always been very good. Although we've always had Mayan dishes, so I can't speak for other menu items. The service is a little hit or miss, but I believe the waiters do their best. It's a popular spot for the tour buses, but they seem to herd those folks upstairs so it stays mostly quiet on ground level. The restaurant offers a nice view of the Coba lake, so it is an ideal place to relax.

Had lunch here after the ruins so glad of the sit down, shade, a lovely view and a beer. the food was mediocre but we were hungry and the other places around the ruins looked horrific. It wasn't unpleasant but i wouldn't rush back, though if we did the ruins again i'd still choose this place because of the setting. You sit on lovely shaded terrace which is peaceful, overlooking the croc infested lake : menu has pictures which probably tells you all you need to know about the food. service was attentive and pleasant. Coach parties and minibus trips arrive periodically and are ushered upstairs so it remains quite and peaceful on the down stairs terrace.

Good food and ambiance overlooking the Lake at Coba. Best place in town. The owner, Luis Itzel speaks excellent English and always has a good smile for you. Ask him about the man they call Chuk Kan.
