We were invited to join some locals we know that live in Valladolid, to watch the street dancing and listen to a 14 piece Latin Band on Sunday Night. They do this almost every Sunday. La Cantina was their place of choice. It is located right across from where the dancing takes place and the band is set up. We... More

This was our first meal in Valladolid, right on the central square. The food was good, especially the sopa de Loma.

We stopped in Valladolid on our way from Chichen Itza to Tulum. The central square and church is beautiful and so we decided to have lunch in one of the restaurants surrounding the square. The cantina looks like a nice place and may well get busy in the evenings, but it was quiet when we ate lunch - perhaps one... More

From the outside this place looked nice, but it all went downhill from there. Apart from almost non-existent and uninterested service the food was awful, not probably cooked, just heated up in a microwave with no presentation or even consistency with the ingredients on the menu. This place is really only for beers, they don't even try to make it... More

We stumbled upon this place after touring the church nearby and sat in the brightly colored room in the back. Our service was wonderful and the waiters were very patient with us as we tried to order in Spanish. All their salsas were freshly made and the taco mixta was fantastic. I ordered their salad which came with a homemade... More

It's a good spot for a beer gut strongly recommend not eating here. The food is just awful!! We ordered chilliquillas which looked literally like vomit and a soggy baguette. Find somewhere else

Friendly nice service. Good food. Very authentic Mexican food with a truly nice atmosphere. Would recommend the sausage coming with tacos as a side dish.

Even though we were only 5 persons in the restaurant our order (chilaquiles and tacos) took at least half an hour to arrive. When it did arrive, it was the blandest food I had in mexico. Really almost no flavour (even though the chilaquiles were flowing in sauce). The good points is that it's relatively cheap and nicely decorated, but... More

Being a vegetarian it is not easy in Mexico to eat out. This is a nice bar/resteraunt that has great choices for vegetarians. It serves local dishes and the food is cheap tasty. The coffee is also good. I would highly recommend this place. If you sit outside you do get disturb frequently by the street sellers but they are... More

Passed through Valladolid from Chichen Itza and stopped for a snack at this quaint looking restaurant. The only problem is that the food was terrible. The cost was ridiculously cheap €11 for two including beer!!!
