When we had guests visiting from out of town who wanted to take us out to dinner, we decided to go up Big cottonwood Canyon and check out the buffet at St. Bernard's in the Solitude resort village. I'm glad we did. The European ski lodge/hotel atmosphere was charming and peaceful. Service was top notch in every respect. The buffet,... More

St. Bernard's is serves excellent food. It's creative gourmet American. At 38$/ adult and 17/kid 12 n under, I cringed, but in retrospect yours won't get this much good food prepared for you anywhere else. The scene is upscale but dress code is casual. It was mostly couples and sets of mature friends, but there was on other couple with... More

We dined at St. Bernard's our first night at Solitude and it was wonderful, casual but classic. It is family / buffet style but the selections are limited & prepared perfectly! Selections included the most wonderful homemade pita bread and charcuterie, blood orange quail, beef medallions in a lemon pesto glaze, mussels, broccoli robe, asparagus, salad and soup, and several... While the food was good, the atmosphere was completely overwhelmed by the stalking of the buffet waiting for promised items to come out. As the meals are prepared only in small batches, items seem to run out exceedingly quickly. During our meal, there were some items that were constantly "on their way out", but never actually arrived. And when an... More

We had four adults and two teenagers come to St. Bernard's for dinner this evening. The chef prepared dishes come out as ready, which gives a nice flow to the meal. Every dish, from the fried green tomatoes to the mussels with chorizo and roast pork tenderloin, was perfectly seasoned. We all stuffed ourselves and declared this was our best... More

My wife and I ate here over Valentine's day weekend. We were a little put off by the thought of a buffet for a Romantic event but I'm really glad we decided to go for it. The buffet had plenty to chose from and offered high end meats, cheeses, sides, and desserts. I'd definitely go back on my next visit... More

This buffet is very well presented and delicious. Dishes are made in small batches so that they are always fresh. Fine dining - enjoyed more than one dish, including local trout. Highlight of visit was getting to know Dax in the Library bar next door - he welcomes everyone with an open heart and has creative cocktails and a well-curated... More

Skiing for 5 days at Solitude - which we highly recommend for those who hate lift lines and want maximum time on a small mountain that skis big - we used Open Table to make a reservation at St Bernard's. Note: Most restaurants at the resort are closed Monday and Tuesday. By coincidence we hit it big! Usually St Bernard's... More

Great breakfast buffet, with some unique dishes and the expected staples. The French toast is a must. Egg dishes that are a type of soufflé are also very good. Oatmeal and cereals are available. The usual pastries, fruits, and juices round out a great breakfast.
