The decor of the restaurant is not in keeping with the architecture of the house. The service was slow, unpolished, cold and not very friendly. We ate the set lunch "market menu". The choices are limited, the portions tiny and the quality very very disappointing.

The kitchen has really elevated its offer in recent times. The fish soup was a complex mixture of tastes - depth, richness whilst still light. I followed with the fallow deer which was perfectly cooked. I loved the introduction of chestnuts and blackberries which perfect balanced the full flavour of the deer. Then the rhubarb and custard soufflé... light, airy... More

From the moment you enter the grounds of Clivden you have the feeling that this is going to be a real treat and as you approach the house this is feeling is confirmed. Once you step from your car and step inside the doors of this historic house you are looked after superbly. We chose the tasting menu and again... More

On our wedding anniversary, my husband and I treated ourselves to lunch. We had delicious fish soup and the flavours of the sauces for our main courses were intense. The price of the dishes seemed reasonable for the quality of the ingredients and the care with which they were prepared. Too many glasses of champagne, though, will certainly make the... More

We arrived at Cliveden at 20.00 and on approach had to press the call button to enter through the majestic gates. This in itself immediately elevates the experience ahead, the venue is grand, sumptuous and dripping with history. We were welcomed by a host of staff who took our coats and showed us to the table. The dining room is... More

I have visited Clivedon over a number of years, probably about 15 years. Our daughter was married at Clivedon, I have also been a member of their club, so I feel quite upset by what I found when we visited recently. My family and I decided to celebrate my husbands birthday at Cliveden. We arrived with plenty of time to... More

we ate outside due to the weather and had the best Sunday roast ever. The meat was cooked to perfection, Yorkshires light fluffy- potatoes crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Service was impeccable cant stop raving and when my husband says he would like to come back well that says it all.

We had a lovely dinner while staying as guests at the house. In retrospect, I would have booked a lunch here instead, so that we can enjoy the view of the beautiful parterre. The food is overall wonderful while some dishes were better than others. We also had breakfast in the dining room which was thoroughly enjoyable. If you are... More

We were favorably impressed with all aspects of our dinner here while staying at Cliveden House. Don't miss it if you are staying here. The breakfast is also wonderful.

The André Garrett Dining Room was originally the Drawing Room of the house and is a stunning south-facing spacious room which radiates with sunlight and looks out over the nineteenth-century Parterre, the gardens and River Thames. Its classical elegance and fine works of art give it an enviable touch of romance, and bring the history for which Cliveden is famous to life. Lunch and dinner are served here, offering classic English dishes combined with Cliveden's extensive cellar book. At lunchtimes, chose from the Market menu which offers tremendous value or from the more extensive a la carte selection. At dinner, enjoy award-winning modern classic English cuisine with dishes brimming with fresh seasonal ingredients and local produce. Please note, jeans or sportswear are not permitted at any time. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket for dinner.
