Decided to pick the Boot to take out our mothers for Mother's Day as have been many times before. On arrival we were greeted at the bar and shown to our table as pre booked no flowers on the table for decor as it was Mother's Day just some dead Lily's that had died on the dresser. The waitress took... More

Arrived at our pre-booked time of 13:00 for Sunday lunch and did not eat the main course(only three from seven of us had a starter) until almost 14:30.That's the longest I've ever waited for a meal out.The young lady apologised when I paid the bill and said they been surprised by the sheer number of people who dropped in for... Called as a party of 4 on Sunday 12/3/17. What a gorgeous pub tucked away in the Cheshire countryside. My wife and daughter opted for the duck which they both enjoyed. My daughters boyfriend and myself opted for the Fish bourginion from the specials board. I have to say that it was excellent, only thing missing was some French bread... More

But a little disappointed no dogs allowed, especially as it's mainly tiled floor in the pud. Toilet facilities need updating, not impressed with those. Would eat here again but... More

Used their walks sheet to do decent walk. Finished off at the boot. Very nice beer. Superb food. Great staff. Nice and chilled. Sitting outside in the sun for lunch on first day of spring very pleasant. Will be back.

Called into the Boot on a rainy afternoon and had a wonderful experience. Three adults all very happy with food and drink ,excellent choices , quick and not over invasive service , could not fault. The treacle tart was a particular favourite .Will go back again whenever we are close. Look forward to a summer visit and taking advantage of... More

Sorry for the delay in writing this review but I am not from the area and I have just finished giving positive feedback about another pub in the area so thought I should compare the two. We visited on Boxing Day and found it to be a great disappointment. The staff were clueless and the waiter didn't even know how... More
