The menu has been reduced from when I started to go here. There are still many things to chose on the menu and the quality is second to none, all individually cooked to your order so not in front of you within 30 seconds but not a long time. A car park at the back of the restaurant as you... More

We popped in for a snack mid afternoon on a sunny Saturday in April. We had to wait ages to be served as there was only 1 person working on the bar, and the other girl was underage and could not serve drinks. Although there were food menus out on tables we were told that food was not available as... More

Wow, wow and double wow. Steak for Dinner and what a steak it was. My partner and I both ordered the steak and we were not disappointed. Great meat cooked to perfection. Don't need to eat for days now as was huge and luscious. Will be back for more steaks - Nick the chef will do you proud. Yum yum... More

Our family of 6, of ages ranging from 87 to 13 had a great Saturday lunchtime meal here. We have not eaten here for over 2 years and aware the pub has changed hands a few times. It was a warm and welcoming environment with good service throughout. The food was of good quality and well presented. The menu is... More

On an occasional trip to charming Tarporley I was in need of a hearty meal and popped into the Rising Sun on speck just after noon. I chose the beef stew off the 'mains' menu although there was a decent selection of appetising sounding meals also from the lighter, cheaper lunchtime menu. The stew was absolutely delicious. And I do... More

Well we went here after reading it's reviews. What ? Instant mash.veg from the freezer. Certainly meat from the freezer. Absolutely abominable. I'd love to know what planet the people that run it are from. No wonder there was only 4 other people there on a Sunday lunch.no excuses for that type of food. Worse food I've ever tried and...
