Fantastic warm welcome from staff upon arrival on a lively Saturday evening. My husband and I were seated at a lovely table in the window where he declared the chorizo risotto starter the best he had ever tasted. This was followed by main courses of fish and chips and a hake dish which were both delicious. On asking for a... More

We visited here on a Saturday evening. The service we received was excellent. Drinks menus and order taking happened very promptly and the starters arrived. Everyone really enjoyed them. I had the risotto which I have to say was completely amazing. I so wish I had ordered it as a main course. I'm reliably told the soup was gorgeous. The... More

We found the food to be pleasant if a little on the expensive side for what it is, but the service was extremely poor, we were completely ignored as the staff preferred to spend their time standing at the coffee machine chatting constantly even when they could see we were trying to get their attention, which completely spoilt our visit,... I called in yesterday for lunch and brought a friend who had never been before. I dine here on a regular basis and can never fault the place. The food and service at second to none. My friend was amazed at the standard of food for such a reasonable price and how much of a choice there was on the... More

The food here is of a very good standard, staff are friendly, dogs are welcome so all in all pretty good, however... for me there are other restaurants locally, in my opinion are a better quality of food, service and value for money. The mains took a long time to come out after we shared a starter (about 30-40 minutes... More

Been on several previous occasions and found the food great. Went on a Tuesday night service was extremely slow over 2 hours for main (4 people) and 1 desert. The slow service could have been compensated by good food but was well below previous experiences, and it is not cheap either. Will think twice before returning. They allow dogs which... More

We hadn't visited this place for quite some time so decided to go one Sunday early evening for a roast dinner. The food cannot be faulted. Presented well and everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. We had roast beef, shoulder of lamb and roast pork. Would recommend any of these. Desserts would lovely too. However the service really let... More

First time I've been here and wouldn't come again. Ordered 2 lattes and went outside to enjoy the sun and decided what to eat from the menu. Cold lattes came later on and when I asked the lady bringing them out if the menu could be customised for vegetarians, she said she would go and get someone else who knew... More
