Great hotel, food and accommodation. Staff very helpful and attentive. The room was very pleasant and comfortable, even though, due to Christmas parties and our late booking, we were in an annex. We loved the atmosphere in the hotel as well as the special offer of the night, mulled wine and a bun overflowing with pork, stuffing and apple sauce,... More

Away on business and my colleague, having eaten here previously, recommended we eat at The Swan. The food was so good and the staff were so friendly we returned the following evening. The food isn't just delicious and of high quality, it is varied, filling and reasonably priced. The welcome is warm, where nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend... More

One of the best smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toasts breakfasts I've had. The staff strike the right balance of attention, in a cozy setting with crackling wood fire and chilled background music. Only one criticism was the absence of home made biscuits on this visit - they're usually a highlight.

A lovely bustling place to eat. Seemed to be quite busy on the Thursday we ate there, so booking might be advisable. Food was very good and the staff very friendly and helpful.

The Swan is a lovely, comfy, welcoming English Inn in a charming Cheshire village. Several bedrooms (no personal experience) but I have never had a meal that was less that top notch and the regularly changing selection of real ales are always served in top form. Highly recommended.

With seven in our party it was fortunate that the menu has a good range of choice, so no one struggled to pick something they liked. All the choices were well received although the lamb was a bit on the pink side. Also good choice of drinks, especially the choice of beers. The dining area is spread over numerous rooms,... More

Called in the Swan on the basis that it seemed to be doing quite well on a Saturday lunchtime (usually a good enough sign to warrant a stop!). Sat in the back bar, which had a lovely old range fire with the logs burning and, although not a cold day, it just had a really nice cosy feeling. Ordered a... More

Where better to end up after a dog walk along the Beeston Canal! Dogs welcomed with jar of doggie biscuits! Always good! Service great! Popular spot. Sunday roast is absolutely spot on. Sticky toffee pudding is tops. Kids love the huge Swan Burger, and Ham, Egg Chips. Good selection of local beers.

Been here many times and never been let down. Food is great, good drinks selection and not too pricey. Really good place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a few drinks. Lovely

we were here to celebrate a friends birthday. The good thing about the Swan is the fact that it offers the regular menu as 'small bites' so it satisfies different appetites without those with smaller appetites having to select from a reduced menu. We had salmon risotto and someone else had the fish cakes. The food was well presented, tasted... More
