I last visited this little gem of a cafe on Friday 19th May 2017, I ordered the Potato and vegetable quiche which was delicious my friends order sausage sandwiches. Whilst I am not a vegetarian I sometimes like to take a break from meat as I did on this day and wasn't at all disappointed as the quality and standard... More

Great cakes and scones plus basic menu like beans on toast served. The menu is small but adequate. Good selection of teas. Location is lovely and you can get the bus from just down the road by the Borrowdale Hotel if you have walked far enough! Been coming here for many years now and is still a favourite spot.

Only went on here to leave a bad review, but have now left a few, this cafe is everything that the first review is not, dog & family friendly, home baked produce, very basic but that adds to the charm. Great Views also, The beautiful weather helps however :)

This very simple walkers and climbers cafe is a great spot particularly if u catch it early afternoon in the beautiful sunshine. We went with friends who have kids and it was so much dun with loads if garden kids toys for them to occupy themselves with, we could get on with the serious business of cake and crumble eating!... Many times here, climbing on Shepherds or simply walking past. Very friendly, simple cafe, with a great garden overlooking the lake. Food is top notch and REASONABLY priced for the Lakes. Not one to miss. Equally its unpretentious, if its silver service you like then stay in Keswick!
