We called into the Fox and Hounds for two pints and a meal. The beer was excellent and the food delicious. Recommend booking a table if you want to eat.

Good food, great selection of ale, decent coffee and very friendly staff/atmosphere. Dogs also welcome. Board games and a pool table and apparently they have craft mornings on a Friday and beginner bee keeping classes!

Limited range, but good value pub food. Steak night was tasty and very good value - £20 a couple. Don't always serve food every day out of season - so check in advance to be sure. Good location in Ennerdale Bridge - on the coast to coast route. Friendly staff.

Very friendly and great pub food. My brother dropped his phone and wallet outside and the community took great effort to find him and hand it back - we were touched by this

Wife and I had lunch here after walk round the Lake. Characterful pub with friendly staff. Excellent Local beers and good but standard food served quickly.

Having visited this pub a number of years previous we were looking forward to revisiting during our week in the Lakes. What a disappointment. Cold and unwelcoming sums it up really. Average food but a good selection of ales. Won't be going back. Such a pity as there is so much potential in a stunning area of the Lakes.

The rooms at the hotel were clean and tidy and slightly larger than average and included an ensuite bathroom. The bar had a range of decent cask ales and the all food was reasonably priced and tasty. Staff were very friendly and very welcoming to our friends Border Terrier and also staying at the hotel. A very welcoming venue to spend... More
