Everything we had at the bakery was fresh and delicious. Gluten free chocolate cake was like eating chocolate truffles in a cake! Lemon slice, alomond slice, cookies, rocky road, brownies, scones and vanilla custard slices were all tried and enjoyed by my family! Delicious sauasage...More

Called in for a late lunch, and not dissapointed. Very comfy sofa helped make this a very relaxing lunch complete with tasty cheese and chutney sandwiches, great coffee and fabulous cakes! By the end I could quite happily have dosed off feeling completely at home...More

This is a great little village bakery producing a fantastic variety of loaves, maybe a little dearer than a supermarket but flavour & texture make up for this tenfold!

Having visited this cafe in the past - and enjoying its cosy, welcoming ambience - I was terribly disappointed by the changes wrought by the new owners. The dining room is now very stark and austere; gone are the local views by talented artists, the...More

We've visited this bakery before and found it OK, however on this visit things were a little different. My wife is a coeliac and requires Gluten Free options, something we thought that wouldn't be beyond this award winning establishment. However it turns out that very...More

A couple of years ago we visited this bakery regularly- so were looking forward to a return to what was an award winning food outlet. How it has gone downhill, under new ownership I understand. We arrived at 9.30 a.m. together with two grandchildren and...More

Description
At Broughton Village Bakery /Cafe we start baking at 4am to laden our large farmhouse table with freshly made artisan breads, pies, pasties, chunky sausage rolls, quiches, cakes and tray-bakes. Our takeaway service also offers generously filled sandwiches made with our own bread and fresh homemade soups. Alternatively you can sit in our modest, cosy 32 seater cafe which offers free Wi-Fi, magazines, chalks and blackboards (!) or on comfy sofas in front of the wood burning stove. Our menu has been created around our bakery produce offering down-to-earth, good quality food made from flavoursome ingredients which are sourced locally and organically.
